Knights News
Knights of Columbus
North Ridgeville, Ohio Council 7970 December 2015
A word from the Grand Knight Brothers,
The Christmas season is upon us. Let us remember
the true reason for this season. Advent is a
wonderful time to reflect on our Lord and his
humble birth. I wish each and every one of you and
your families a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy
and safe New Year. God Bless you all.
I would like to also thank each and every one of you
for a great year. Job well done.
For those of you looking for an awesome Christmas
tree, remember that our Brother Knight Al
DiVincenzo has a Christmas tree farm in Grafton.
He has beautiful trees at great prices.
Our next quarterly 50/50 raffle will be held at our
January meeting.
If you haven't joined us at a meeting lately, please
do. We meet the first Thursday of every month
(even numbered months at St. Peter's, and odd
numbered months at St. Julie's), Rosary at 7:00pm,
and meeting at 7:30pm. We would love to see you.
If you have a friend who is a parishioner at one of
our parishes, and is not a Knight, ask them to join. VIVAT JESUS!
May God Bless You All,
Gary Klemens GK

Turkey Raffle Info This year’s Annual K of C Turkey Raffle was held
on Sunday afternoon November 8th
at the St. Peter
Gym. It was very successful with a huge
attendance. The fun started at 5:00 PM after all the
great brothers finished setting up and filling baskets
at Andy Rak’s place. Thank you to the Ladies
Isabella Guild for taking care of food sales out of
the kitchen and to Brother Pat Foster for his crew
cooking the burgers and hot dogs. I’m told that the
cabbage and noodles ran out with people still asking
for more. Thanks to all who helped out with this
terrific fund raiser for our K of C Scholarships to
three lucky students at St. Peter School. More news
and results will be in next month’s letter. For

Knightline: Brother Mike Malinas is looking for someone to
help coordinate future requests. Mike is planning
on running away out West somewhere in the desert
of Arizona. Give him a call if you would like to
help with this worthwhile program. It does not
require a lot of time but just a willingness to give
back.
Also, do you know of a Brother Knight in need of
some help (around the house or yard, getting to an
appointment and needs a driver, etc.) please call.
This invitation is extended to their spouse or widow
also. The first and foremost principle of our order
