Information "criteria" for the 2008 Christmas Tree & Wreath Silent Auction on October 25,2008

Tree & Wreath MaterialAll trees/wreaths must be artificial. All tree/wreath and materials must be fireproof. Electrical lights, if they areused must be the miniature type. Baby's breath, broom bloom and may other dried floral filler enhances thetree/wreath and give it a professional look. Any dried materials or non-treated fabrics must be treated/sprayed withfire retardant. (Available at full-service hardware stores.)

Tree SizeThe tree should not exceed 4 ft. (48 inches) in height.

Wreath Size and DesignThe wreath can be any size and any holiday design (Easter, 4th of July, Halloween or Christmas, etc.) .

Bags and Tree & Wreath StandsAll trees must be in sturdy stand and easy to transport. After the auction, your tree or wreath will be wrapped andpicked up, so a tree bag (large garbage bag) must be included in order to insure ease in transporting your donation.If your wreath needs to be stood upright for display please provide a stand. We will hold the stand for pickup later ifnot included in donation.

All ornaments/decorations SHOULD be wired onto the tree/wreath with floral wire. All ornaments with an insertedor slip-on hanging attachment must be glued where the two pieces meet so that the "hanger" cannot slip off.

Pine cones, bows and other items must also be wired securely to the tree/wreath.

Use decoration of high quality, as the buyers may use it for years. Be sure to use enough decorations as well asvarying sizes. Remember that smaller decorations should be glued on the top of the tree and larger ones on thebottom. Accessories under the tree should be in proportion to the tree. (NOTE: Items placed under the tree are soldwith the tree.)

Suggested ornaments which might be used:Glass ornaments or clear iridescent glass any sizeCranberry beads and wood garland, bright chain garlands, and/or rope garland, ribbon garlands or pine garlandCandles in brass clips (candles for decoration only - not to be ignited)Hand crafted ornaments and/or decorations (children's handmade ornaments are very appealing)Silk poinsettias or magnolias or other flowers

Ribbon and bowsMiniature toys, flags and whistlesPine cones, seed pods, dried flowers and grasses

Tree Skirt and Accessory Decorations:A drape skirt and objects placed under the tree add a finishing touch and increase the selling appeal of your tree.You MUST provide a tree skirt for your tree whether or not there are under-the-tree-accessories. Please be sure theitems you place under your tree compliment its theme and are in proportions with its size. Please include a box forthese items. REMEMBER: Items placed under the tree are sold with the tree.

Tree/Wreath Delivery:All trees and wreaths are to be delivered to the Narthex (Gathering area) at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church,8000 El Dorado Parkway, Frisco TX between 6:00 to 8:00 PM on the evening of Friday, October 24,2008.

Final Thoughts:Thank you for your participation. Your involvement will help continue to make this an anticipated annual eventhere at St. Francis. Enjoy working with your friends and loved ones hi creating a tree/wreath which someone willcherish for years to come.
