Online Safety
When asked if they use the internet on a device in either their bedroom or a sibling’s room 28% of children said that they do.
When children use the internet away from a family space it can harder to track what sites they are using, how long they are using their devices for and who they are talking to. The bright screen lights can affect sleep cycles when used just before bed.
When asked how long they use the internet for each day 27% of children said they used a device for 3 hours more.
Our children are very confident when using the internet at home- 91% said they felt safewhen going online; however that does mean 9% do not feel safe and can be worried.
Report An Issue Our school website has a ‘Report An Issue’
button on the Online Safety page. This allows you to anonymously ask questions or report any concerns you may have.
Everyone will receive a digital parenting magazine in the next few weeks which contains lots of helpful hints and tips.
