Update from Kate

We are pleased to announce that we will be participating in the inaugural Day for Daniel Fun Run on 25th October. The funds raised will be donated to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

Bruce and Denise Morcombe established the foundation in May 2005 in loving memory of their son Daniel. Since its inception, the Daniel Morcombe Foundation has worked tirelessly to educate communities on child safety strategies and support victims of crime involving children. The safety of the children in our community is paramount and we are proud to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation continue its mission of keeping children safe.

All fundraising is completed online, so once you’ve received your sponsorship forms and parent letter from your child, jump online at dayfordanielfunrun.com.au and create their personalised student profile page.

With school holidays fast approaching it is imperative to set up your child’s profile. Once your page is created you can start sharing your fundraising link with family and friends and get fundraising! Not only will every donation raise awareness for child safety, raising just $10 will also earn your child a prize! Your first donation enters you into the draw to win a $20,000 Webjet Ultimate Family Experience! Also every donation is tax deductable so please share far, wide and often.

We encourage you all to do your part in ensuring that the Day for Daniel Fun Run is a huge success. Hopefully that means full student engagement and community support.

If you have any questions about the event or need help setting up your child’s profile, please contact Kate Johnston on 3457 6777 or the Fun Run on 1800 386 786.

A parent letter with more information will be sent home with students today.

Hope you all have a great break, we will see you all on the 8th of October.

Happy Holidays!

Kate
