Gday again folks and welcome to the latest and greatest on the island. The week just gone was a ripper in the A.F.L with Freo getting their holidays and season end handed to them on a plate. The Cats had the same treat but did smash back with probably the best game of footy I've seen in ages. Its all down to this weekend now when Swans get to roll against Norths and the Hawkers take on Port. Now, if I was a gambling man Id have to take a punt on the Swans and the Hawks to get up and be there on the big day, but hey

lets face it, its been a hard year to pick a winner and we have all seen many upsets. On the subject of tipping a winner, this weekend is the KTH footy tipping BBQ and I have been asked to let the tipsters know that there are a few rules, as is the same every year, for the final piss up.

At the end of the day, the deal is you can bring your partner to the party and enjoy the spread and drink whatever you want, but there are no proxies allowed. If you like Imported Prawns, Imported Oysters, Imported Alaskan Crabs then you are going to have one of the absolute best Saturday afternoon feeds known to man along with a heap of beers and some good company. (I'm told on good authority that the prawns swam to Bali from Australia) All in all, its usually a great day, spent with even better people. There is one last rule that I'm asked to convey to you all and that's to grab a taxi or make arrangements to get a ride home if you are going to getting stuck into it. The last thing anyone wants is to see one of the tipsters getting hurt on the wobbly journey home and not being back for the tipping next year. The party starts at 12 oclock and will run for the rest of the day. The mystery rounds will be revealed as the afternoon unfolds and the winner will be announced after the last hidden round is unvailed. By the looks of the weekly email, the end result will be a close one, and I for one cant wait to enjoy the afternoon.

Ok folks moving along this week I had the opportunity to go and take a look around the island for a few days and to make it that little more interesting I grabbed a Harley from the Harley Doctor for the trip. Mr Snake has been in the paper for as long as I can remember and sponsors the Jokes page, which is page 39 and we all thank him for his loyal support over the many years. Anyways, we decided to grab a big bike and rip around the island and take a look to see whats going down and to my surprise the thing I noticed the most was how dry the place is. We are almost into the wet season and not before time, but I have heard about just how much water “there isnt” at different places around Bali especially on the East coast in Amed. It made me realize that just maybe the place is at the end of its ability to support the massive tourism industry that has grown over the last 30 years and that the powers that be need to start looking at educating the visitors on responsible water use when here. There really isnt much else that can be done as far as I can see. I remember doing the same ride almost 20 years ago and the place was lush green and looked really good, but this time it was looking almost like a desolated no mans land and rather disapointing.

In closing I think its every travellers duty to try and make sure they use water wisely while here and never waste a drop, much the same as beer. Try to turn the tap off when you brush your teeth instead of letting the water just run. Ok folks thats about as much verbal wisdom as I can musta this week so I will leave you to do whatever it is that you do while enjoying the island. I trust that the most of you stay safe happy, healthy and always remember, There is something wrong with your character if opportunity controls your loyalty…

We Have a Search Warrant!Prosecutors Raid Bali A i r p o r t O f f i c e s Seeking Evidence in Ongoing Corruption Investigation

T h e o n g o i n g investigation of corruption by PT Angkasa Pura I (PAP I), the managers of B a l i ' s N g u r a h R a i International Airport, entered a new phase on Thursday, September 11, 2014, when a team of s e v e n p r o s e c u t o r s conducted a surprise search of PAP I's offices seeking evidence of alleged malfeasance of taxes paid for airport advertising.

According to Radar Bali, tempers flared during the surprise search that saw prosecutors shout at PAP I staff who appeared to be reluctant accepting the search.

The team of 7 prosecutors walked into the office of PAP I s h o r t l y a f t e r 1 0 : 0 0 a . m . demanding access to the office of the former commercial manger, Nurspato - an office now occupied by his replacement Ida Bagus Mandala.

"We have come on official business," said one of the prosecutors, "please provide us with the data we seek. Don't hide things. Or (if you do), we bring all

the data back to the prosecutor's office."

This reportedly happened after staff of PAP I were unresponsive to the team of prosecutors who arrived wearing jackets identifying them as a member of the "Corps to Fight Corruption."

When screamed at by prosecutors, some of the PAP I staff were reported by Radar Bal to have suddenly gone quite pale.

Over time, PAP I staff members began complying with prosecutors request for data. Investigators remained at the PAP I until approximately 3:00 pm and returned with a number of files in cardboard boxes..

Three employees have already been named as suspects in the ongoing corruption case.

D u r i n g t h e s u r p r i s e r a i d b y p r o s e c u t o r s , t h e Communications and Legal officer of PAP I Sh i ve l y Sansaoch i became angry with members of the media cove r i ng t he ra i d , claiming the reporters had no right to be in the office, asking them to leave.

C lear ly angry, Sansaochi shouted:

"The airport belongs to us; everyone is required to follow the rules in place here. Reporters are not allowed to enter here. Get out! Get out!."

When reporters from Jawa Post and Radar Bali asked what rules banned reporters from covering the new, Sansaochi continued: "These are our rules. Please leave. Please leave so you don't disturb people trying to work."

Eventually the reporters were escorted out of the office. But Shively continued to protest, ordering reporters to leave.

Climb Every Other MountainBali's Mount Agung Closed to Hikers Until November 21, 2014

B a l i ' s sacred Mount Agung volcano has been closed to climber for two months starting from Tuesday, September 9, 2014.

T h e m o u n t a i n ' s closure to hikers and climbers is connected to the P a n c a w a l i K rama Wana K e r t i h Ceremony underway at Pura Pasar Agung in the village of Sogra in Karangasem, East Bali.

The closure of climbing on any part of Mount Agung at an elevation higher than Pura Pasar Agung was announced by Wayan Suara Arsana, on behalf of the organizing committee of the Pancawali Krama Wana Kertih Ceremony, who said the prohibition will

remain in effect until November 21, 2014.

As reported by Radar Bali,

hikers and others present on the slopes of Mount Agung at elevations higher than Pura Agung would be an affront to those participating in the ceremony. Pura Pasar Agung is located at the foot of Mount Agung, it's location effectively barring use of Mount Agung by hikers for the entire two-month period.

The only people allowed to climb Mount Agung during

the two-month period would be Hindus performing mendak tirta or ngaturang

p e k e l e m r i t u a l s a t Mount Agung.

29.09% drop in Exported Wooden Statues from Bali in January-July 2014

The State News Agency Antara reports that the value of exported carved wooden statues from Bali between January and July 2014 totaled US$43.88 million, decreasing 29.08% from the same period in 2013 when the value equaled US$61.87 million.

The industrial and Trade office for Bali said the volume of handicrafts exported from Bali during the first seven months increase 0.71%.

The head of the Central Statistic Bureau (BPS) office for Bali, Panasunan Siregar, said that the U.S.A. absorbs the bulk of statues and handicraft souvenirs made from wood.

The BPS said the U.S.A. orders 23.29% of wooden Balinese statues; followed by Italy (7.68%), Australia (5.74%); Germany (4.27%); Japan (4.06%); U.K. (3.92%); Holland (2.81%); Hong Kong (2.34%); Singapore (1.85%); and Thailand (0.79%). The remaining 43.25% of wooden statues are shipped to the remaining nations of the world.

Wooden statuary exported abroad is made in workshops in the Gianyar regency of Bali. Minor production centers for wooden statues can alco be found in Badung, Klungkung and Tabanan.

Magpies defeat Panthers for spot in grand finalT H E S A N F L ' s b i g g e s t r i v a l s , Norwood and Port Adelaide, will meet in the grand final for the first time since 1999 next weekend.

The Magpies won t h r o u g h t o t h e premiership decider with a 20-point win over South A d e l a i d e i n t h e pre l iminary f ina l a t Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

Like their Power teammates the night before, they did it the hard way by coming from 17 points down at half time to keep the Panthers goal-less in the third quarter.

South fought back with three goals late in the final term to get to within 13 points of the lead but they weren't able to catch the Magpies, who ran out winners 13.12 (90) to 10.10 (70).

Port Adelaide midfielder Aaron Young said the Magpies evoked the spirit of the Power who came back from 31 points down against

Fremantle on Saturday night to win through to the AFL preliminary final.

“I guess it was pretty similar to the Power boys last night,” Young told Channel 7.

“We went inside and said 'if we're going to go down, we're going to go down swinging' and we came out and had a real crack and got our hands on the footy first, started the quick kick instead of handball and we were lucky enough to get on the scoreboard and turn the game in that quarter.

“We knew we were a fit bunch, we've trained all year for this ... and

played a game in four weeks so he was fresh and started getting the run going.”

Tom Logan said the Magpies were relieved to get through after a slow start which needed to be addressed at training.

“The first half like last week we didn't come o u t f i r i n g a n d i t ' s something we really need to work on during the week,” Logan said.

“Luckily we came back in that third and could hold on in the last when they came.”

The grand final will be played at Adela ide Oval next Sunday, September 21, at 2.40pm where the Redlegs will be aiming for their third consecutive premiership after they earned the week off by beating Port in last week's semi-final.

The last time Norwood and Port met in a grand final was in 1999 and it ended in thrilling circumstances with the Magpies winning by just eight points at AAMI Stadium.

AFL clubs in talks with The Recruit reality star Chris Moreland, live chat from midday on Tuesday

CHRIS Moreland has received the best indication yet that he could fulfil his AFL dream, with three clubs in the race for his services.

After progressing to the final three of Fox 8's reality television show The Recruit, Moreland revealed he had been talks with clubs about the prospect of earning a rookie contract.

The Geelong West-St Peter's star has also received a glowing endorsement from triple Brisbane Lions premiership captain and AFL legend

Michael Voss, who is the coach of The Recruit.

“He said to me 'I can't see any reason why you wouldn't get picked up', so it's whether the clubs want to take the risk a n d t a k e m e o n , ” Moreland said yesterday.

“I don't think it's a risk but someone looking from the outside does.

Footy star's model girlfriend lashes outTARIQ Sims' partner has hit out at the NRL over the severe penalty that has ruled him out of the North Queensland Cowboys' charge to the grand final.

Sims has ended his career with the club in dramatic fashion, accepting an early guilty plea to a shoulder charge and a five-week ban that ends his finals campaign.

Sims was shocked to be handed a grade three shoulder charge by the NRL match review committee on Monday, but after 24 hours reviewing the incident and weighing up their options the Cowboys opted not to challenge the ban.

Sims has been ruled out for the next five games and will take no further part in North Queensland's quest to win a maiden premiership this year.

In a stinging attack, Ashleigh Sudholz took to social media to claim her boyfriend was the victim of bias.

“Corruption in the NRL much?? @NRL should be ashamed of being so damned bias and having different rules for each team. Its a (expletive) joke,” she wrote on Twitter.

Sudholz, a former Ralph swimwear model of the year and Miss Indy, deleted the tweet within 15 minutes.

“I forgot I have to keep my mouth shut when I see someone I love being treated unfair,” she wrote.

Sudholz is not the only one

feeling outraged by the charge particularly in north Queensland.

These images prove the NRL's match review committee is a lottery and the Cowboys should feel outraged over the severity of the charge.

It comes just a week after the same match review committee ignored a vicious shoulder charge by Canterbury's Tony Williams that directly hit the head of Gold Coast's Aidan Sezer and forced him off the field with concussion.

The Cowboys believe that Sims' hit on Justin Hodges in their finals victory over Brisbane was late but not high as the only contact was Sims' head on Hodges' head.

Hodges even said he hoped Sims would not be suspended and the Cowboys could have called on him to provide evidence to the judiciary.

“I don't want to whinge about it too much and hopefully he'll be right to play next week,” Hodges said post-match.

S i m s w a s o n M o n d a y “surprised” and “disappointed” at the severity of his charge, taking time

away from the club to clear his mind before deciding whether to fight for his season.

The talented and aggressive back rower, who will join the Newcastle Knights next season, had been an integral part of North Queensland's late season surge, but rookie coach Paul Green will now need to find a replacement ahead of Friday's do or die semi-

final clash with reigning premiers Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

It's not like the Cowboys have a good record with NRL matters in September and there was no shock in Townsville on Monday when the same charge sheet that ended their star player's season cleared Roosters f r o n t r o w e r J a r e d Wa e r e a -Hargreaves of a high tackle.

This is the third consecutive season a ridiculous decision by NRL officials could cruel the Cowboys' premiership hopes.

With scores 24-14 at the time Brisbane could have altered the result finishing against 12 men.

The Broncos refused to comment on Monday, maintaining the club's stance of never blaming officials for a defeat.

The NRL has inconsistently applied the shoulder charge and high-tackle rules this year, with several incidents failing to be cited by the match review committee.

There have been 11 shoulder charge bans this year for a combined 18 weeks of suspension.

Boomer unlikely to beat banMEDICAL expert Dr Peter Larkins says Brent Harvey has almost no chance of s u c c e s s f u l l y a r g u i n g insufficient force to beat his latest suspension.

T h e N o r t h M e l b o u r n e champion has been banned for Friday night's preliminary final against Sydney for a head clash with Geelong captain Joel Selwood.

North immediately appealed after the match review panel delivered its one-match ban for rough conduct.

Selwood is expected to attend tonight's tribunal hearing to help Harvey's case, after last night describing the hit as “an accident” and saying the veteran Roos player should not miss the preliminary final.

“Those co l l i s i ons happen throughout the night. We've all seen it - it was very minor,” he told Channel 9.

“I was running at speed, he was coming at me at speed. I t happens, accidents happen.”

Selwood said he was available and happy to give evidence at the tribunal if called upon.

The star midfielder also said his comment at the time to the umpire — “Boomer f---ing jumped in me head” — was in the “heat of the moment”.

“You're so emotional. You invest so much in the game and in the season,” he said.

“I was more disappointed that I was going to be off the ground from anywhere between three minutes, where you just get the tape around your head and get back on, or 10 minutes, where you're getting stitched up down stairs, you're hearing the roar of the crowd and you actually don't know what's going on. You feel like you let your side down for not being available for that period of time.”

North Melbourne coach Brad

Scott intimated his frustration with Harvey, who was playing in his comeback match after missing three games because of a ban for a Round 21 scrap with Western Bulldog Liam Picken.

“I had a chat with 'Boomer' a few weeks ago and now we're back in the same situation,” Scott told Fox Footy.

“But I don't think there's any point talking about it right now.

“There'll be a time and a place for that.”

The club is expected to argue the off-the-ball blow, which forced Selwood from the field with a cut eyebrow, was below the force required to warrant a suspension.

But Larkins, who was part of a

medical review committee that advised the AFL on head-high contact laws, said Harvey faced finals heartbreak.

He said any argument that Selwood's forehead splits more easily due to frequent head clashes was irrelevant.

“There is the potential for that area of (Selwood's) skin to be more fragile because of the previous skin repair, but you have still got have a level of force to split him open like that,” Larkins said.

“So, that argument would not have any weight with me if I was on the tribunal.

“It's whether Harvey had eyes for the ball, ran past the contest, how far away from the ball he was and whether he left the ground when the contact was made.

“That was the intention of the rule when it was discussed with

( f o r m e r A F L f o o t b a l l operat ions manager) Adrian Anderson four or five years ago.”

The Harvey ban was criticised by fellow players after the MRP verdict.

Carlton star Chris Judd tweeted: “Can't believe Harvey is missing a Prelim for that.”

Former Docker Paul Hasleby said: “MRP is a disgrace, missing a prelim final for that is just not right. Whole system, carry over points stinks. Enough is enough.”

Friday's win was Harvey's comeback game after a three-match ban, which included the Roos' elimination final win over Essendon.

Harvey does not risk an extra match suspension in tonight's

appeal, effectively giving the 36-year-old a free swing at the hearing.

L a r k i n s s a i d t h e principle that sidel ined Fremantle star Nathan Fyfe earlier in the year applied to the Harvey case.

“If it was two players with their head over the ball and there was a clash of heads and one of them just came off second best, then I

don't think you should get reported,” he said.

“But if you look at the Fyfe one and the Harvey incident the players didn't have eyes for the ball and weren't in the contest.

“So, it doesn't matter whether it splits him (Selwood) open, the intentions of the rule is to protect the players not expecting contact.”

L a r k i n s s a i d h e w a s devastated that Harvey would likely miss a preliminary final.

“I just felt sick for him when it happened because as soon as you saw it you knew he was in trouble,” Larkins said.

“I was devastated for him because he had just come back from a suspension and you knew how desperate he was to be in finals contention and to help his team.”

After checking the map it wasn't hard to find and we are very glad we found it. This place has only been operating for 8 months and at the moment their menu is a little limited but after enquiring about the heat of one of their advertised dishes, the manager kindly said they could do a vindaloo or madras version of that dish if I wanted. He said they will be gradually increasing their menu options and are in the process of organising wine to add to the beer they currently serve. (I cheekily suggested they stay away from the Hattens!). The service was very friendly and they were helpful in describing some of the appetisers which I hadn't seen in Australia. We really enjoyed the food and they catered to our (heat) tastes (I like mine spicy). The restaurant decor is very contemporary and, very importantly, the toilets are clean! Australian dollar falls past 90 US centsAt 1700 AEST on Monday, the local unit was trading at 90.00 US cents, down from 90.66 cents on Friday.

During the afternoon it dropped as low as 89.84 US cents, the currency's weakest level since March 20.

China's industrial production growth slowed sharply to 6.9 per cent in August to its worst level since the global financial crisis, figures released over the weekend showed.

ThinkForex senior markets analyst Matt Simpson said the Chinese data put further downward pressure on the Aussie, which was already taking a beating from a rallying greenback.

The US dollar is trading near six year highs against the yen and 14 month highs against the euro on expectations the US Federal Reserve might raise its Federal Funds rate sooner than previously expected.

Mr Simpson is forecasting the Aussie could fall further below 90

US cents."The Aussie's grip above 90

US cents suddenly looks tenuous, starting badly with the Chinese data and not expected to get any easier throughout the week," he said.

The US Federal Reserve finishes up its two day policy meeting early on Thursday morning, Australian time.

Traders are expecting the Fed will change its outlook for its interest rate following indications in recent months that the US economy is getting stronger.

" T h e g r e e n b a c k h a s continued to strengthen as traders assume earlier rate hikes from the US," Mr Simpson said.

"However this also leaves

room for disappointment if the Fed leaves traders high and dry, resulting in a greenback sell-off and support for the flailing Aussie."

A t 1700 AEST, the Australian dollar was at 97.56 Japanese yen, up from Friday's close of 97.16 yen, and at 69.48 euro cents, down from 70.16

euro cents. Meanwhile, bond futures

prices were lower. UBS interest rate strategist

Andrew Lilley said the falling Australian dollar had given the market reasons to be optimistic about the Australian economy.

"What is happening is that the Australian currency has started rebalancing to a level that would be consistent with better growth of the non-mining sectors in Australia," he said.

“This is the type of move the Reserve Bank is looking for, where instead of low interest rates stimulating growth the lower currency does."

Drag queens in Facebook name rowA group of drag queens and transgender performers have called on Facebook to allow stage names rather than real names on the social network.

A petition supporting the change has attracted more than 2,000 signatures.

Facebook said that its real name policy was designed to protect the community and increase accountability.

But the group argued that performers should be allowed to use stage names for reasons of "privacy, safety, or preference".

The petition, set up by Seattle-based performer Olivia La Garce, reads: "Although our names might not be our 'legal' birth names, they are still an integral part of our identities, both personally and to our communities.

"These are the names we are known by and call each other and ourselves.

"We build our networks, community, and audience under the names we have chosen, and forcing us to switch our names after years of operating under them has caused

nothing but confusion and pain."

Another per former, San Francisco-based Sister Roma, said he was locked out of his account until he used the name Michael Williams.

Drag queen Cherry Sur Bete, who said his profile had also been flagged as breaking the rules, said "This isn't just a matter for nightlife performers, this is a matter for actors

Passengers accidentally given bomb by policeSniffer dogs are an essential tool for airport security

A passenger in Australia has accidentally been given a bomb in a suitcase by staff at Sydney airport.

The training device was planted in the case by police in August to train sniffer dogs.

However, after the exercise, it was forgotten about and given to the unnamed passenger after her own case was damaged.

The bomb contained real explosives, but officials say it was deactivated.

Australian Federal Police have apologised to the woman.

According to an official statement, the device, containing 230g of plastic explosive, was originally placed in a case at the

domestic terminal on August 14 to be used in a training exercise for sniffer dogs.

Planting real explosives, drugs and other items in real airport luggage is quite common practice it's seen as an essential training tool for dogs.

Nearly a month later after the exercise, the passenger was handed the abandoned case as a replacement after hers was damaged in flight.

She took the bag, left the

airport, and drove home with the bomb still inside.

W h e n t h e p a s s e n g e r f i n a l l y discovered it and handed it in to police in Cessnock, more 90 miles from the airport, the station had to be evacuated.

Midnight Oil (also known informally as "The Oils" to fans) were an Australian rock band originally performing as Farm from 1972 with drummer Rob Hirst, bass guitarist Andrew James and keyboard player/lead guitarist Jim Moginie. While vocalist Peter Garrett was studying at Australian National University in Canberra, he answered an advertisement for a spot in Farm, and by 1975 the band was touring the east coast. By late 1976, Garrett moved to Sydney to complete his law degree, and Farm changed its name to Midnight Oil by drawing the name out of a hat.

Important to thei r d e v e l o p m e n t w a s manager Gary Morris who was ab le to negotiate favourable contracts with tour promoters and record c o m p a n i e s a n d f r u s t r a t e r o c k journalists. Guitarist Martin Rotsey joined in 1977 and Midnight Oil, with Morris, established their own record label Powderworks, which

released their debut eponymous album in November 1978, and their first single "Run by Night" followed in December. Founding bass guitarist James, forced to leave due to illness in 1980, was replaced by Peter Gifford. Gifford was himself replaced by Bones Hillman in 1987. Through a long and distinguished career, the band became known for its driving hard-rock sound, intense live performances and political activism, particularly in aid of anti-nuclear, environmentalist and indigenous causes.

Midnight Oil's albums which peaked in the Australian Top Ten were 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Red Sails in the Sunset, Species Deceases, Diesel and Dust, Blue Sky Mining, Scream in Blue (Live), Earth and Sun and Moon, Breathe, 20,000 Watt R.S.L., Redneck Wonderland, The Real Thing, Capricornia and Flat Chat. Australian Top Ten singles were "Power and the Passion", "The Dead Heart", "Beds Are Burning" and "Blue Sky Mine". Aside from chart success, both "Power and the Passion" and "Beds Are Burning" were listed by Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) in the Top 30 best Australian songs of all time in 2001, a chart in which Midnight Oil are the only artists to feature twice. In December 2002, Garrett

But they would reform for two warm-up shows in Canberra leading up to their performance at one of the "Sound Relief" charity concerts, in honour of the victims of the 2009 "Black Saturday" fires in Victoria and floods in Queensland.

Midnight Oil won eleven Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards during its career, including induction into the Hall of Fame in 2006. At the induction, ARIA chairman Denis Handlin described Midnight Oil as true legends that always led by example in a uniquely Austral ian way with music that is powerful, uncompromising, inspiring, entertaining and enduring. In 2010, their album Diesel and Dust ranked no. 1 in the book The 100 Best Australian Albums by Toby Creswell, Craig Mathieson and John O'Donnell.

Driven largely by commercial pressures to stay with reliable chart-toppers and teenage pop sensations, the Australian music industry in the mid-1970s cast a dismissive eye toward most bands with an alternative outlook. Although consistently championed by Sydney alternative rock station Double Jay and its FM band successor Triple J, Midnight Oil was almost totally ignored by Australia's mainstream commercial radio stations in their early career. Manager Morris developed a reputation as one of the toughest managers and became notorious for banning critics or journalists, who were usually given free admission to concerts, for writing unfavourable reviews. Writer and critic Bruce Elder, in a mid-1980s newspaper review described their music as "narrow and xenophobic".

The second guy says, "I spent a ton too. My wife is at home planning the cruise I gave her. She was up

to her eyeballs in brochures."The third guy says "Well my wife is at home admiring her new car, reading the manual."

They all turned to the last guy in the group who is staring at them like they have lost their minds.

"I can't believe you all went to such expense for this golf game.

I slapped my wife on the bum and said, 'Well babe, Merry Christmas!

It's a great morning -- intercourse or golf course ?She said, "Don't forget your sun hat."

My wife had been after me for several weeks to revarnish the wooden seat on our toilet.

Finally, I got around to doing it while she was out. After finishing, I left to take care of another matter

before she returned.She came in and undressed to take a shower.

Before getting in the shower, she sat on the toilet.As she tried to stand up, she realized that the not-

quite-dry epoxy paint had glued her to the toilet seat.

About that time, I got home and realized her predicament.

We both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever.

Finally, in desperation, I undid the toilet seat bolts.

The wife wrapped a sheet around herself and I drove her to the hospital emergency room.

The ER Doctor got her into a position where he could study how to free her

(Try to get a mental picture of this.) The wife tried to lighten the embarrassment of it

all by saying, "Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything

like this before."The Doctor replied, "Actually, I've seen lots of

them......I just never saw one mounted and framed."

Balinese cuisine is a cuisine tradition of Balinese people from the volcanic island of Bali. Balinese Cuisine is one of the most complex cuisines in the world. Using an incredible variety of spices, blended with the fresh vegetables, meat and fish. The island's inhabitants are predominantly Hindu and culinary traditions are somewhat distinct with the rest of Indonesia, with festivals and religious celebrations including many special foods prepared as the offerings for the deities, as well as other dishes consumed communally during the celebrations.

Rice is almost always consumed as a staple accompanied with vegetables, meat and seafood. Pork, chicken, fruit, vegetables and seafood are widely utilized, however just like most of Hindus, beef is never or rarely consumed.Rice

Bali has a strong rice agriculture traditions in Indonesia, as evidence through centuries old intricate network of sophisticated Subak irrigation system. The Balinese water temples regulates the water allocation of each village's ricefields in the region. Balinese Hinduism revered Dewi Sri as an important rice goddess. Her and other deities colorful effigies made from colorful sticky rice are often made during religious ceremonies.Spices and seasonings

Basa gede, also known as basa rajang, is a spice paste that is a basic ingredient in many Balinese dishes. Balinese dishes are punctuated by basa genep, the typical Balinese spice mix used as the base for many curry and vegetable dishes. As well as bumbu (seasoning) used as a marinade. Tabia lala manis, which is a thin soy sauce with chili peppers, and sambal matah are popular condiments.DishesBalinese foods include lawar (chopped coconut, garlic, chilli, with pork or chicken meat and blood), Bebek betutu (duck stuffed with spices, wrapped in banana leaves and coconut husks cooked in a pit of embers), Balinese sate

known as sate lilit made from spiced mince pressed onto skewers which are often lemon grass sticks, Babi guling also known as celeng guling (a spit-roasted pig stuffed with chilli, turmeric, garlic, and ginger).In Bali, the mixed rice is called nasi campur Bali or simply nasi Bali. The Balinese nasi campur version of mixed rice may have grilled tuna, fried tofu, cucumber, spinach, tempe, beef cubes, vegetable curry, corn, chili sauce on

the bed of rice. Mixed rice is often sold by street vendors, wrapped in a banana leaf.

Betutu is eaten in Bali as well as Lombok, and West Nusa Tenggara. It is a roasted poultry dish (chicken or duck) with spices. Lawar is a traditional vegetable and meat dish in Bali Vegetable and meat dish served with rice. It consists of shredded unripe jackfruit, young banana flower, a liberal amount of pork rind bits, raw pig blood. These

are mashed with herbs such as lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, shallots, and garlic. Babi guling is a Balinese-style roast pork comparable to Hawaiian luau-style pig.

Other common Indonesian dishes are easily found, such as tempe and tofu are used. Sambal dishes are also served. Bakso, a meatball or meat paste made from beef surimi, can also be found.BeveragesBrem a Balinese rice wine

Balinese coffee, Kopi Bali, and hot tea, teh panas are popular. Tea is often served with sugar (gula) and condensed milk, susu. Brem is Balinese rice wine alcoholic beverage. It is made from fermented mash of black or white glutinous rice (known as Ketan) using a dry-starter, which called as Ragi tape.
