Notes:

1. Keep and reset existing brick border.Keep existing Crape Myrtle, exercise caution around roots. Dig and retain existing Agapanthus, work into new plantings.

2. All beds adjacent to turf shall be retained with steel edging.

3. Irrigation to be provided on all new beds with low volume mist system attached to hose bib with 'Y' splitter and controlled by battery operated timer. Irrigation shall be considered and priced as separate work area.

Instructions to Bidders:

1. Estimates shall be submitted to owner and/or landscape architect in a timely manner and in a clear, legible and understandable type written format.

2. Estimates shall be broken out by work area per drawings as applicable to include total price, including tax, etc., to install that particular work area.

3. Estimates shall include an itemized list of all materials, equipment, travel, mobilization and labor to be used in each work area. Unit pricing is NOT required.

Work Areas:1. All beds and plantings2. Low volume irrigation

Planting Bed Installation:

1. Remove all sod, mulch, debris etc. from proposed bed areas.

2. Scarify and till existing soil 6"-12" deep.

3. Incorporate by tilling a high quality garden soil mix and general purpose fertilizer so that new bed will be raised 4"-6".

4. Install edging as specified.

5. Install plant material per industry standards with a time release fertilizer (Osmocote) per manufacturer instructions.

6. Install drip, mist or soaker irrigation as specified.

7. Top dress with 2"-3" pine straw mulch.
