How is this season shaping up?Our roster has height added with players who can jump out of the gym . Our schedule is tough again as

we open in Texas against 4 teams that went to the National tournament, followed by our tournament over Labor Day that is undoubtable the most loaded tourney in the Nation . We have teams from Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Wyoming, Florida and Idaho. Five of the nine teams finished in the top ten at the NJCAA tourney last year . We will be prepared and ready to bring it!

Who should we watch or keep an eye out for? Our team needs our sophomores to be the leaders . Annie Brady and Jade Timothy were solid starters

last year and Ellie Cottam started towards the end of the year. Tiffany Robbins had a fabulous spring and brings a fiery attitude to find the floor. Alyssa Walker and Meilee Brown are vocal leaders and bring maturity to the team . I think the fans need to keep an eye out for our freshman . Our freshman will push our sophomores and it will make for an interesting season, I can’t wait to see what line up we end up with in November .

What are your expectations for the season? My expectations are high . We need to go undefeated at home, win the conference so we can host the

Region 18 tournament . Earning the right to host is a huge advantage as we have the best facility and want to give our fans an opportunity to come cheer for their Bruins . The National tournament is always in our sites and if we are healthy and improving, we should be able to get to Wyoming for the National tournament in November .

What are things from last year we can work on or change?Looking back to last year I remember our finish which was not our best play of the year. We need to

be playing our best ball in November . We were ranked 6th in the nation and had legitimately earned that ranking . Going into Regions we had beaten every team twice and went 5 sets with the eventual Region champ . I think the freshman remember that disappointing feeling cause they had worked hard throughout the year with nothing to show for it. We need to finish strong.

What can fans expect from the games? Our fans motivate us to play harder, that support is encouraging . Every gym we visit is hostile, loud and

disruptive . I want our fans to bring their energy and their voice .
