US Missile Team

Mission Statement To develop a missile that will arc past Soviet defenses and be able to nuke Moscow.

Procedure The distance between Moscow and Naples, a city in Italy where the US has its closest missile base, is 2375 km. You want to be able to launch a missile that can cover that distance.

How your missile travels is based on two things: the angle you launch it at and the speed it launches at. There are three equations you will need:

where vv is the vertical velocity of the missile (in meters per second) and h0 is how high the launch pad is, and t is time in seconds.
