Cindy Wise, Principal

Greetings from Lake Street Elementary—home of the 4-Star Dazzling Dolphins The hearts of the Lake Street Office Staff and your principal have been

touched by the overwhelming support and generosity of our Lake Street

Community. Thank you to our compassionate parents, teachers, staff

members, community groups, and individuals who have “adopted” an an-

gel from our tree or dropped off donations to our Heart-to-Hand food bank

or gave coats, hats, and gloves to Nurse Betty so those who need something

extra at recess or at home now have what they need. Gifts for the angels

are due on Monday December 16th, and you should bring them un-

wrapped. Our NEHS and Student Council members will be wrapping gifts.

We are a grateful community, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If your child has a transportation change on any school day, please call

us before 3p.m. I announce all changes at 3:00 before the rush at the end

of the day. If you pick your child up from school or drop off in the morning,

please stay in your car and we will help load or unload your child so you do

not need to get out of your car. If you do feel you need to get out and assist

your child, please park in our lot to do those necessary things and walk

your child over to the crosswalk where Mrs. Collier can safely cross them.

Please help us with this important transportation info for students.

Nurse Betty is seeing many sick students. If your child has the flu and/

or a fever please keep him/her home to recuperate. There is no replace-

ment for classroom instruction that is missed during an absence; however if

your child is sick they can’t really attend to learning so please use your

judgment and take care of our darlins’ so when they are with us, they are

learning all that our teachers offer during the day. Thank you!

Enjoy a wintry December weekend and stay warm!
