The Case StudyNetworks come in all shapes and sizes. from the smallest home network to the largest tier 1 ISP, it is the of the network operator to ensure the network is operating smoothly. With a network that spans the globe, sprint operators one of the planets larger tier 1 IP networks. They known as SprintLink (www.sprint.com), the network has over 70 points of presence (locations contain SprintLink IP routers and are the places which customers are interconnect with the network) and over 800 routers. That a lot of bandwidth SprintLinks primary NOC is located in reston, VA and backup NOCs are located in Florida, Georgia and Kansas City. Sprint also maintains NOCs for its ATM network, frame-relay network and underlying fiber-optic transport network. at any time a team of four network operations centers is monitoring and managing the equipment at the core of the SprintLink network IP network. Another team is standby to handle any customer trouble reports and responding to their requests.Automatic alarm monitoring, fault identification and service restoration is their main job duties. Configure management and customer trouble reporting make it possible for a small group to manage sucha large and complex networking infrastructure. When problem reported SprintLink operators are quickly focusing on restoring their services.NOC operators perform triage diagnosis and restoration steps following a defined set of procedures in response to a known set of problems. Problems that are not immediately diagnosable or cannot fix referred to National Technical Assistance Center. they will look for the root cause of the problem deeply than the first level. they may contact equipment suppliers too. Mostly over 90% of problems are likely to be resolved at this level NOC and NTAC staff are interact with other partner teams who local immediate visit for the Sprint troubleshooting requirements in distance.Assume that you are join recently and going to work as an network management Assistance in a highly reputed Sprint partner organization called buklanet solution (Pvt) Ltd. buklanet (Pvt) Ltd is established in 1984 which giving Major network management and implementation services including hardware and software solutions for the external companies in Asin region.

But with the growth of IT networking Issues, the new IT management decided to get some external expert consultant assistance regarding how to manage and gets maximum benefits of networking between branch locations in order to increase the productivity and to get competitive advantage over its competitors.FastHDD invited several major network management and implementation services organizations, to provide them the proposals regarding above issues and the solutions, including the buklanet solution (Pvt) Ltd Company that you are now working for.

The important points mentioned in the invitation for proposals are summarized below.

FastHDD want to increase their productivity. It faced huge difficulties with the connectivitys of their networks. They want to increase the redundancy of data and minimizing data loss.
