1) LAND & MARINE PULLING WINCH

1) Land Marine Linear Winch is 100 Ton pullingcapacity winch, its self weight is 40 Ton.

2) Land marine linear winch is operated by Hydraulic.

3) To operate this winch we required 3 main powerpack Driven by Cummins Diesel Engine NT743Ccoupled to Hydraulic pump.

4) All the three power pack has to run simultaneously atthe same time to get the required out put pressure

for pulling the pipe.5) Land Marine Winch is operated by 10 KVA control

panel to operate this control panel we require DG.

6) Land Marine Winch have 4 main Hydraulic Jack, 2no on the front to pull the primary unit and 2 jack onthe rear to pull the secondary unit .

7) In the primary and secondary unit there are 2 jaws ineach unit, this jaws is connected with small Hydraulicjack. Which is operated by the control panel. Whenthe jack move forward the jaw gets open and when

the jack move back the jaw gets closed and at thistime the wire rope get clamped in between the twojaws.

8)When the main operation is started the front Primaryunit is moved back ward with the help of main jacks2 no provided on the front at this time the primaryunit jaws are in closed position and wire rope is the

clamed in between the jaws and wire rope is pulled.9) When the Primary unit move backward the

secondary unit will move in forward direction withhelp of 2 main jack provided on the rear at this time

the secondary unit jaw will be in open position thewire will be passed freely in between the two jawsand the pulled wire are reeled on the bobbin drum.

10) Our linear winches are equipped withcomputerized load monitoring systems whichmaintain a record of the pull loads and

provide a trend indication against predictedloads. From this information we are able tokeep a record of the wire load history and

determine what usage factor can safely beutilized if the wire is considered suitable to bere-used

The linear winch works on the principle ofpulling wire using twin reciprocating gripboxes powered by pairs of horizontalhydraulic cylinders to haul the wire using ahand over hand principle, the wire isspooled on large reels or drums and stored

behind the winch.

The main power packconsist of Engine,Hydraulic Pump,

To operate the Land

Marine winch we needto run all the 3 powerpack.

MAIN POWER PACK

When the power packengine is started thehydraulic pump coupled withthe Engine rotates at 1500RPM the hydraulic oil issucked from the hydraulictank and the high pressureoil is pump to the MHDCunit.

The MHDC unit receive the

high pressure hydraulic oiland send it to the LandMarine Winch the LMW getsoperated when it iscontrolled by the controlpanel.

5) SMALL POWER PACK

It is Diesel driven coupledwith small hydraulic pump.

This power pack is used torotate the main bobbin in

clock wise and anticlockwise direction to wind thewire rope and also torelease the wire rope.

It is also controlled by thecontrol panel.

To operate this control panelwe require 10 kva powersupply.

We can do auto and also

manual operation. We can monitor the load

pulled by the land marinewinch in the digital display.

METHODOLOGY FOR OFFSHORE PIPE LAYING

Set up of land marinewinch over the barge

Winch is to be placed

over barge. It must besecured welded &positioned on barge.Ensure for necessarystrengthening of barge.

Rollers placed at thedeck level of barge onthe front face

Anchor piles driving alongwith hookup arrangement atspecified locations.

Position of the barge with

winch and its supportingequipment with wire rolledon rollers

Tying the base of the winchwith the anchor pile.

Connecting the winch wireof 35mm rope to pull headon shore

Pulling the pipe string lyingover roller pedestal intooffshore with winch mountedon the barge.

Once the pipe crosses theend roller, floats at specifiedintervals will be tied to thepipe strings with necessary

tying arrangement. Once the string reaches 150

meter from LFP in to sea(beyond wave breakingzone).

The vertical riser will beclamped to the anchor

handling barge.

Once the pulling of pipestring 250 meters is

completed ,next pipe stringof 250 meters lying on thepedestal will be pushed onto the rollers with the help ofcranes & excavators.

The next string is thenjoined with the firststring & necessary testsfor joint is completed.Heat shrink sleeve &puff filling to becontinued and furtherpulling continues in line

with the above steps tillthe riser reachesrequired location.

Once the riser end reachesthe pile no.9 of ULP the riserportion shall be fixed to theclamp.

After confirming thealignment and afterclearance floats will be de-hooked from the pipes with

the help of divers stationedon boats

Then the laid pipe shallbe observed for anyfurther settlement &shall be arrested withthe clamp mounted onthe pile.

Simultaneously, thesame procedure shallbe continued for otherset of pipe.
