Direct Mode of Address (Image)In an image can use Direct Address by simply making the model look directly at the camera so therefore they are staring at the audience. This makes the page stands out in the shelf and makes it more attractive to buyers.

Direct Mode of Address (Text)In text Direct Mode of Address is used to talk to the audience, to communicate with them. It is often used in titles and sub-headings to draw the readers attention as it appeals to them, making them buy it.

Informal AddressInformal address is used more often in music magazines, it often means that slang and short vocabulary and possibly vulgar swearing.

Formal AddressFormal address is used in more serious situations and is very different to Informal address, it uses accurate vocabulary and it doesn't’t use slang or swearing. It is unusual to see any rock magazines using this form of address.

A pun is a Play on Words, often used in a comedic effect.

AlliterationAlliteration is when two words are adjacent to each other start with the same letter and therefore sound the same, it can also be used in comedic effect and can interest the audience. For example, Refreshing Rock.

This is a question where the reader does not know or needs to know the question. It acts as a teaser and makes the buyer want to buy the magazine to find out the answer to the question which will be inside the magazine.
