Arnold, NE - Donald Dale Dailey, age 87, of Arnold died December 1, 2020, at the Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte. Donald Dale Dailey was born on March 2, 1933, to Clayton L. and Mabel P. (Lewis) Dailey at his Grandpa and Grandma Lewis’s home south of Arnold in Lincoln County. Don attended school at Loyal Table and Powell Canyon. He then gradu- ated from Arnold High School in 1951. Don served in the US Army 1953-1955. He was mar- ried to Beverly Jean Kramer on August 20, 1953, at Fort Riley, Kansas, where Don was serving in the Army. They were married 64 years, before Beverly passed away in 2018. The family lived on ranches until 1976 when they moved east of Gandy on the Kramer Farm where Beverly was raised. They semi-retired in 1996 and moved to Arnold in 2002. Don and Beverly enjoyed camping with family and many trips to visit extended family. Don’s hobbies were doing jigsaw puzzles, fishing, wood working and help- ing his sons with their businesses. In later years he was well known for making freezer jam and sharing it with family and friends. Don always en- joyed a game of cribbage and didn’t like to lose. Don is survived by his three sons: Daniel (Jo) of Long Pine, NE, Clifford (Pat) of Hyannis, and Lemoyne (Rhonda) of Thedford and a daughter- in-law Becky Dailey of Donald Dale Dailey 1933-2020 Arnold. He is also is sur- vived by 14 grandchil- dren, 31 and a half great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Dailey of Arnold; a sister, Ester Webster of North Platte; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, a son Alan, a brother Ken- neth, a sister Kathryn, brothers-in-law Clark Armstrong and Earl Web- ster, and sister-in-law Ila Dailey. Graveside Funeral Serv- ices, along with Military Honors were held on Sat- urday, December 5, 2020, at 10:30 a.m., at the Loup Valley Cemetery west of Stapleton with Pastor Irv Jennings officiating. A visitation was held on Fri- day, December 4, at the Arnold Baptist Church, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are sug- gested to the Arnold Com- munity Foundation, Arnold Fire Department, or the Arnold Baptist Church. 1938-2020Larry D. Blixt was bornApril 26, 1938, in Arnold,Nebraska. He passedaway on November 27,2020. His parents, Man-fred and Ildie (Wheeler)Blixt had seven childrenof which Larry was theoldest. He attended HazelDell Grade School andgraduated from LoganCounty High School in1956. In 1958 he came toChapman, Kansas, towork on Interstate 70. Healso worked on the Mil-ford Dam Project and theAtlas Missile Bases. On March 25, 1960,Larry married Judy(Acker). Judy and Larryremained in the Chap-man area where theyraised their three daugh-ters. In the early 1960’s hewas a co-owner of theGary and Larry Weldingand Repair business withhis life-long friend GaryOesterhaus. However,Larry always had the am-bition to own his own ex-cavating and constructionbusiness. Larry beganpurchasing some equip-ment and did numerousterraces, ponds, and othersimilar projects withGary. This business laterevolved into Blixt Con-struction.In the early 1970’s Larryand his siblings (Leroy,

Lyle, Lennie and Lydia)developed the Indian HillAddition. He also workedon the Oak Hill and otherhousing additions in andaround the Chapmanarea. In the mid-1990’sLarry and his wife Judystarted the Constructionand Demolition (“C&D”)Landfill. In 2005, theybegan development of theIrish Acres subdivision. Larry is preceded indeath by his parents, andhis brother Leon Blixtand sister Lila Kitch. He issurvived by his wife of 60years, Judy, his threedaughters, Cynthia, Lisaand Tamra, his grandchil-dren, Claudia, Collin andJoey, his great-grandchil-dren Julia, Ivie and Brodyas well as four of his sib-lings, Leroy, Lyle, Lennieand Lydia Blixt.A memorial service willbe held at a later date tobe determined.

basement and used by theschool for basketballgames. On ThanksgivingDay 1922, the church wasready for dedication, andtwo basketball gameswere played in the newchurch. ~Prior to that,basketball games wereplayed in the Rex The-ater.~ Through the years,this stucco church hasseen several changes: theoutside roofline was al-tered, the entire churchwas stuccoed, the “upperroom” was finished by asenior high Sundayschool class, variouschanges were made onwall locations in therooms, the stage and base-ment was remodeled,kitchen was updated, anelevator was added, stor-age rooms were trans-formed to classrooms,and the basement stair-way was made more ac-cessible. With all thesechanges, the congregationbegan to consider erect-ing a new church. Abuilding committee wasformed on May 26, 2002and the decision wasmade to build a newchurch. After finding anew location, south ofRiverview apartments,construction began in De-cember 2005. With lots ofvolunteer labor, the Bap-tists resolved to stay debtfree. Finally the first wor-ship service was held onEaster Sunday, April 6,2010. At that time thebuilding was finished ex-cept for the kitchenwhich was completed byNovember of the sameyear. Lincoln – The NebraskaDepartment of Healthand Human Services(DHHS) today issued up-dated directions for Ne-braskans on COVID-19quarantine standards.The Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention(CDC) released new rec-ommendations Wednes-day following research tobetter understand whenCOVID-19 transmission ismost likely to occur. Thenew recommendationsshorten the window forquarantine.For those with a closecontact exposure to some-one with COVID-19 oranyone experiencingCOVID-19 symptoms,quarantine is recom-mended to limit opportu-nities for virustransmission to others.Effective December 3,quarantine can end afterseven (7) days since aCOVID-19 close contactonly if all of the followingconditions have beenmet:• The person seeks aCOVID-19 test on day five(5) following their expo-sure to another persontesting positive and theirtest is negative.• The person is not expe-riencing symptoms.• The person continuesto self-monitor forCOVID-19 symptoms andwears a mask throughday 14.For those who’ve had aclose contact exposure toCOVID-19 but don’t take a
