The Heritage of Lars Larsen Watches is an almost 100 year long journey.

It all started with the birth of Mr. Lars Larsen Senior on the 8th of November 1893. Already at theage of 14 he went to sea, which was to become his daily chore for many years to come. At the Royal Danish Maritime Academy he was educated and became a Captain sailing “Carl” in 1916 and in 1918”Agnes Louise” of which he later became the owner.

Although sailing the Seven Seas, he secretly had a great passion for watches. Captain Lars Larsencontinued to dream about making his own watch that could with-stand the rough nature and in 1919he fulfilled this dream, by designing and producing his first watch. This beautiful and sturdy watch he carried with him in all winds and weather whilst he was working the icy waters of the cold North Atlantic. The long weeks at sea and the increasingly turbulent times of the Second World War unfortunately made it impossible for him to fulfil his dream of becoming a full-time watch manufacturer.

Once upon a time...

But now his dream has become true. His great-grandson – also named Lars Larsen - has picked up the legacy and passion for the watches and has designed a range, where the Danish heritage and the rugged-ness of the Seven Seas is integrated in the contemporary design of Lars Larsen Watches.
