Lanes Assistance Serv-

ices is set to launch a

new home insurance

claims management

system to further im-

prove its already excel-

lent service levels.

The building repair net-

work has confirmed

they are to launch the

G-Claim 3.5 system in

June after a successful

trial period with a num-

ber of its Manchester

based claim handlers.

The system will replace

the company’s already

successful G-claim sys-

tem which is currently

used by several insur-

ance claim administra-

tors throughout the UK.

The software will incor-

porate a traffic light flag-

ging system that will

direct claim handlers to

the next stage of the

claim, ensuring that

customers will receive

an excellent standard of

customer service.

LAS director of opera-

tions, Wendy Harfield

told Post that the new

system will speed up

the claim process and

ensure policyholders re-

ceive a quick resolution

to their claim.

She said: “The new G-

claim system will allow

us to more efficiently

deal with the needs of

the policyholder.

“The traffic light flagging

system will ensure that

customers are dealt

with in a timely manner.”

Lanes’ contractors are

also now using the new

Magicomm G303 which

allows surveyors to up-

load survey reports and

estimates onto the G-

claim system, meaning

claim handlers and the

authorisation team can

have quick access to

estimates and photo-

graphs taken onsite.

The system has been

developed by Australian

based McMullan Con-

sulting in line with the

requirements of LAS, to

ensure the system is

absolutely perfect for

the needs of its users.

Lanes Assistance Serv-

ices were last year win-

ners of the E-Business

award at the British In-

surance Awards.

Getting to know...Justin Moule

Quality & Training co-ordinator

1. What is your all-time favourite film?

2. What is the last great book you read?

3. What is you favourtie album of all-time?

4. What is your dream holiday destination?

5. What is your favourtie food?

6. What is your favourite board-game?

7. Who is your favourite band or recording artist?

Justin has worked in insurance since starting as a

claim handler with Legal & General in 2001.

Since then he has gained experience with several in-

surance companies before joining Lanes Assistance

Services in October 2007.

Justin was initially hired to help out with the training

and on-going development of LAS claim handlers.

Favourite film of all time would have to be The Green Mile.

The last good book I read is actually the one I’m just about to finish. It’s called ‘The Shack’

by WM Young.

It would be a real push to decide on one favourite album of all time but i’m a big Coldplay

fan and their last one, ‘Viva La Vida’ is definitely one of my favourites.

Dream holiday destination would be somewhere like Mauritius, Barbados, or Hawaii. Any-

where with lots of sunshine and plenty of beaches and booze!

My favourite food would have to be Italian. I’m a keen (and pretty good) cook and i love

cooking Italian peasant dishes.

Sorry, can’t stand board-games!

Coldplay, but i’ll pretty much listen to anything involving

guitars.
