... probably the most famous temple in Thailand, the one the king stayed in while he was a monk.I stayed there too for a week or so too but not as a monk.

Opposite we have the post office and a building burnt out dressed in pyjamas. Probably the 2009 red shirts protest.

Then I walked around to the Khao San road area and the street next to. It has grown somewhat since I have last visited. I did noƟce asign on Sub Way ...

Pinthong couldn't believe that, but I can't see how they could charge you if you are a customer.

AŌer an hour or so walk around the area found my way back to the fort.... I could see that traffic was at a standsƟll on the intersecƟon.Took the boat back via the 20 Baht Ɵcket which allows you to transfer to a higher boat at Prathunam and back to Bang Gapi. Morewalking around the mall, mainly looking at the food, I resisted any temptaƟons and found something to snack on outside with thevendors.

Today aŌer finishing off some

and reading the local paper, took a free 60 bus non-air condiƟoned again to Panthip and then proceeded around the corner to NewWorld Shopping centre. My first quesƟon.... who stole the 'L'

. Its the largest shopping mall in Thailand with the Paragon, just up the road from it, the second largest. I went up to all 7 floors, I think there were only 10 of us all up, unƟl I reached the 7th floorand it was a lot busier. That's where the food is!!!!

Then up the road a bit further to visit the Siam Paragon. Perhaps it was later in the day by that Ɵme but it certainly was a lot busier. Thefood is on the ground floor, which I think is a beƩer idea, crowds tend to aƩ ract crowds. They have the large aquarium in the basementthat you have to pay. The pricing is posted on the board but they use the old trick of using Thai numbers for their pricing.

I tried taking a few pictures but the small compact wasn't up to the task of giving a clear image. But even not knowing the numbers, 4digits is always more than 3!!!! I think the prices are more than double.

Then I back tracked to Panthip Plaza again and had another look around. Across the road via the overhead bridge and waited for ages foranother 60 bus, the air condiƟoned one this Ɵme for 19 baht. About 2 hours later and I was back from whence I had started.

Cheeers,Phil.
