Over 40 students, staff and
faculty from OLOL College met
very early at Broadmoor Middle
School on Monday, January 17,
2011 for a “day on” and not a
“day off” of service. Everyone
first met in the gymnasium to
see the City Year Louisiana
Volunteers and AmeriCorps
Students put on a dynamic,
energy-filled display/physical
drill to get the crowd fired up
and ready to work.
Classrooms were painted,
gardening projects were under-
taken, and general clean-up
crews worked diligently all day
to help make Broadmoor
better and brighter for the
middle school students.
OLOL College plans
another partnership with City
Year Louisiana for the 2012
