It is running 37 different institutions from primary, to Higher Education in Law, Medicine & Engineering among others, with more than 25000+ students.

Latthe Polytechnic established in June 1983, it is approved by A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi DTE Mumbai, and is affiliated to M.S.B.T.E. Mumbai. We have completed 34 years of imparting quality education in different branches of Engineering. At present, we have intake of 480 for five courses namely Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics Telecommunication and Mechanical Engineering & total strength of our Polytechnic is 1186 for Academic year 2016-17 and 1121 for current year. In this newsletter, I am happy and proud to announce the achievements of our Faculty and students as well as different student-centric activities we have conducted during the last semester.

to all!! RESULTS OF WINTER 2017

Our students have continued to excel in the examinations and maintained the tradition of excellent results this year also. Thirty students scored 100 out of 100 marks: Applied Mathematics 17, Basic Mathematics 07, Strength of Materials 03, and Mechanics of Structure 02 students grabbed 100 marks. Manasi Samant from FY Computer scored 91.14% stood first in FY all divisions, Ritik Chavan SY Comp. scored 95.88% stood first in all SY students and Ajay Telang of TY Mech has secured 93.76% and stood first in Third year.

Overall result of First year all branches is 87%, second year 72%, and third year result is 85%.

W1 ZONAL SPORTS As a tradition of arranging Zonal matches, this year we have successfully organized W1 zonal Women’s Tournaments with total number of 600 participants from 30 different polytechnics from Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, and Sindhudurg. I am proud to announce that our girls have bagged a number of prizes such as winner in Badminton, winner in Table tennis, winner in Carrom and Chess, runner up in Basketball and Runnerup in 400 m Running. I am proud to announce that Our institute grabbed General Championship in W1 Zone Sports Meet with GRWP Tasgaon as cowinner. Punam Sankpal was 400 m Running Runnerup.

FACULTY CAREER ADVANCEMENT

Faculty plays a key role in the institute’s overall progress. The academic and professional

expertise of the faculty is a major concern for us. Along with excellence in teaching, learning and

evaluation, our faculties are also constantly upgrading their skills and qualifications. Many of our

faculties have completed post-graduations. Humanity & Science Department faculty Dr. S. M.

Chavan has been awarded Ph.D. in English by Shivaji University, Kolhapur for her thesis entitled

“An Assessment of Communicative Competence in English of Polytechnic Students in Sangli

District of Maharashtra. Dr. K. S. Ghodake has been awarded Ph.D. in English by Shivaji

University, Kolhapur for his thesis entitled “Identity Crisis in Select Novels of Joyce Carol Oates”.

DEPATMENTAL ACTIVITIES

‘‘Civilisation ’’ is a state level technical mega event organised by civil engineering department every year. There were different kinds of events named as Cad Master, Enviro Quiz, Poster Creater, Snap Smart & Build smart. Mr. Sanjay Kaka Patil’s (our chief guest) inspirational speech made the wonderful beginning of our event.

Special training of 7 days on ‘‘Advance Surveying’’ was given to sangli highschool students by Civil Dept. M.C.V.C students were guided by faculty for the practicals of ‘‘Concrete Technology’’. I.T.I. students of Vasantraodada Patil industrial institute were given training regarding ‘‘Advance Surveying’’.

Computer department organized State level technical event Topnotch. 100 students from all over Maharashtra participated in technical activities like Idea Presentation, Blind Coding and LAN Gaming. Chief Guest A. R. Surve from WCE Sangli Visit of SY students is arranged at Domain Computer Education Sangli. Domain Computer Education is Red Hat Certified Training Partner.

Electronics & Tele Departments organized State level technical event TechnoVision 2K17. 200 students from 4 districts participated in this activity.

Mechanical Department organized State level technical event Synergy 2K17: 200 students from different polytechnics participated in this activity. SAP training (Six days training program) on SAP was succesfully conducted by our institute between 1st Dec.2017 to 6th Dec.2017. Miss_Swati_Manjaratkar of R. solution Pvt. Ltd. (SAP Partner) was the trainer for this same. Different features of SAP software were elaborated through effective theory, practical sessions. Total 51 students of third year Mechanical, Civil & Electrical engineering department attended & took the benefit of the same.
