Services to Cluster Members:

a) Involvement of Latvian partners in international private value chains;

b) Facilitating inventions and introduction of new products to the market in the field of:

• global positioning (GPS),

• earth observation (GMES/Copernicus) and

• satelite communications.

• Increasing competency in:

strategically important technologies to become a full-fledged member of ESA programmes;

other rapidly growing segments of space technologies.

De minimis funding – max 14 200 EUR (support intensity 85%) per Cluster member

RD ALFA Microelectronics develops and manufactures certified high reliability and radiation hardened microelectronics components for aеrоspace and defense equipment as well as video transmission/CCTV components.

• Thermal insulation materials/ polyurethane foams for space technology and machinery. (experience since USSR)

• Cryogenic insulation – thermal insulation materials are suitable for application in space by providing heat/cold protection.

• Hard polyurethane foam • Polyurethane foam that would be appropriate for storing liquid hydrogen in special

tanks, or launch vehicles that launch spacecrafts or satellites in the orbit.

• Patent with Astrium on POLYURETHANE FOAM FOR THERMAL INSULATION AT EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURES
