Laura Sobiech To Speak At Worship Services Sunday, Nov. 6

Laura Sobiech, mother of Stillwater student Zach Sobiech, will preach at St. Andrew’s All Saints Day Services in the Sanctuary (9 and 10:30 a.m.) and Great Hall (9:30 a.m.) on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Laura is the author of Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way, a

memoir of her family’s faith journey during Zach’s osteosarcoma and death. Copies of the book will be available before and after worship services for $20 cash or check. Volunteer at Hope for the Journey Home Family Shelter

Volunteers who help at our emergency family shelter have experienced firsthand the support and friendship we provide to those families we are helping through the Community Resource Center.

Volunteer shifts are available in the afternoon, dinner, and overnight.

DOCK Children’s EducationDOCK 2016-2017 registration is up and

running online. We are excited to kick off our new school year of DOCK (Disciples of Christ Kids), our children’s education program! Classes are available during worship services on Saturdays and Sundays, and Wednesday evenings during Confirmation. We require a registration for each child as well as a new registration each school year.

October DOCK Theme: The Healing Power of Christ’s Love. Get ready to soar on wings like eagles as we study Isaiah 40:31. Celebrated in the fall, this milestone recognizes the exciting step children take as they enter Sunday school. Preschoolers who are beginning their first full year of DOCK (Sunday School) will experience a special blessing and will receive their own SPARK Story Bible. This Skipping Stone Celebration takes place at all worship services on the specified weekend. Register your child ahead of time for your specific worship service.
