Etiologies• Causes menstruelles
• Souvent liée à des tampons (oxygénation du milieu vaginal) mais aussi en post partum et post opératoire.
• Portage de SA potentiellement producteurs de SAg.
• Absence d’anticorps anti exotoxines.
• Favorisé par les « super absorbants ». Décès, hémocultures, signes neurologiques, toxines, âge, comorbidités.
