ABOUT LGH

A program for Hillsboro community members designed to develop community leaders.

� Participants are educated on a wide array of critical issues affecting Hillsboro and HillCounty. We develop the leadership skills necessary to be successful in professional andcivic life.

ABOUT LGH, CONT’D

Each class completes a project that benefits of addresses a need of the Hillsboro community.

� 2010-2011: Boys & Girls Club of Hillsboro, former meeting site - cleaned backyard,

fenced it in; poured concrete slab and put up a basketball goal for children to play

� 2011-2012: Awarded grant and installed memorial in front of City Hall,

commemorating Hillsboro native and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient 2nd

Lieutenant James L. Harris

� 2013-2014: Awarded three scholarships to Hillsboro High School seniors who

attended Hill Junior College in 2014-2015 academic year; then-President Kappusmatched funds

� 2015-2016: Paw Pals - Volunteered to operate water stations at the annual Wagon

Trail Bike Ride and hosted fundraising dinner at Up in Smoke BBQ
