A real job with training which allows you to earn while you learn and gain recognised qualifications is an apprenticeship

Apprenticeships take between one and five years to complete depending on the level and industry and are available in a wide range of occupations and industries

There are different entry requirements for different sectors and jobs ndash but they are available to anyone over the age of 16 not in full-time education

Apprenticeships working for you

You donrsquot have to wait for your commitment to pay off with an apprenticeship

You can start an apprenticeship anytime of the year

There are no tuition fees for an apprenticeship you donrsquot need a grant or a loan ndash it only costs your commitment to your job and study

Earn a salary today (including when yoursquore on holiday) The minimum wage for apprentices is pound350 per hour but many employers pay more than this This is dependent on the sector region and apprenticeship level

What yoursquoll be doingAn apprenticeship is a real job so you will be employed in a workplace working at least 30 hours a week

All apprenticeships include elements of on-the-job and off-the-job training leading to industry recognised standards or qualifications Yoursquoll be assessed at the end of the programme to show your ability and competence in your job
