  • 2. Producing students Student as producer makes learners reflect on the purposes of higher education. Chemistry FM from the University of Lincoln. What is Crime? from UCBC (youTube) and Reframing assessments for the University of the Future (Enhancing Learning in the Social Sciences journal, 2011).
  • 3. Without boundaries What is Crime? took Criminology students away from exclusively producing 2,500 word essays. Introduced different disciplines into their studies and contributed to a much needed visual criminology. Appropriate for contemporary HE and the edgeless university?
  • 4. The open revolution? In 2010-11 we participated in the "Cascading Social Sciences Open Educational Resources" project funded by JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) and undertaken by C-SAP (the Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics). OERs are:teaching, learning and research materials in anymedium, digital or otherwise, that reside in the publicdomain or have been released under an open license thatpermits no-cost access, use, adaptation and redistributionby others with no or limited restrictions.
