Learning Management System Getting Started

LoginTo login, go to https://lms.360training.com

When you reach the site, you will see a login screen.

If you have not logged in before, your login will be your email address. Your password will be emailed to you by your training administrator. After logging in, you will have the opportunity to change your password in the Profile area. Once you have inserted your email address and password, press Login

.

Should you forget your password, click on Forgot Password? at the bottom of the login box and a new password will be emailed to you. Once you have logged in, you will then be able to change your password in the Profile area.

My Courses

Locating a CourseRecently Accessed Courses

After logging in, the first page you see is My Courses. This page opens to a list of your Recently Accessed Courses. Each will have the Course Status on the right side of the page. Recently accessed courses are those courses that are in progress but not yet completed. They are organized by the Last Accessed date, with the most recently accessed courses listed first.

Enrolled Courses

Enrolled Courses shows those courses that have been assigned to you by a training administrator or those courses that you have enrolled in from the available courses. To resume the course, click on the title of the course.

Available Courses

Available Courses shows all of the courses that you may take. To enroll in a course, click on the name of the course. This will enroll you in the course and launch it.

You can also use the Search function in the upper right of the screen to quickly locate a course.

Enrolling in a CourseIf this is your first time logging into the system, your Recently Accessed page will not show courses. To locate a course, click the down arrow on the drop-down box in the upper right of the page and choose Available Courses or Enrolled Courses.

Resuming a CourseAfter logging in, the first page you’ll see is My Courses. This page opens to a list of your Recently Accessed Courses. To continue a course click on the underlined name of the course and the session will resume.

Completed Courses Completed Courses is accessed via the drop-down box in the upper right of the screen. This page details the courses you have fully completed. Additional information is available below each course. There, you can click on More Details for course stats or Print Certificate to print a dated Certificate of Completion.

Completed Courses - Course Stats

When you have completed a course, you may want to examine your performance. This done by clicking on the More Details link located below the course you have completed.

Courses About to ExpireAccess through the drop-down box on the upper right of the screen, Courses About to Expire provides details about your courses that will expire in the next 14 days. It offers informatin on the expiration date of courses, as well as the course status. Detailed statistics for each class can be seen by clicking the More Details link below each course.

Expired CoursesAccessed through the drop-down box on the upper right of the screen, Expired Courses provides details about your courses that have expired. It offers information on the expiration date of expired courses, as well as the course status. Detailed statistics for each class can be seen by clicking the More Details

link below each course.

Course CertificatesWhen you have successfully completed a course, you can print a Certificate of Completion as dated proof of your achievement. Do this by accessing the Completed Courses page via the upper right drop-down.

More Details

A More Details button is below each course title on each My Courses page. It provides statistics relating to your course progress, as well as links to a Course Description and Completion Report.

More Details StatisticsThe More Details statistics page tells you exactly where you are in that specific course. It provides both a topline Summary Statistics, along with Detailed Statistics. As applicable, Summary Statistics include Status, Course Progress, Pre Assessment Score, Average Quiz Score, Highest Post Test Score, Completion Date and Time Spent in Course (hours:minutes). The More Details page also provides a gateway to the Course Description and Completion Report.

Completion ReportAccess the course Completion Report by going clicking the More Details link below your course title. Then, click the Completion Report button at the top right of the page. The Completion Report provides information detailing your class progress, including how much of the course you have completed and what is still required for successful completion. A black under Your Status on the right of the page confirms that you have successfully completed that requirement, a red x indicates that you have not passed that portion of the class and must address the requirement to complete the course.

Surveys

Finding SurveysSome courses require that you complete a survey to receive credit for your coursework. View the Course Completion Report to see if a survey response is required for you to complete a course.

To view the Course Completion Report, go to your My Courses page by clicking the green book-shaped icon on the upper top right of the page. Then, click the arrow on the drop-down box to the right of the page and select Surveys.

Taking SurveysSome courses require that you complete a survey to receive credit for your coursework. See Finding Surveys above for how to locate and confirm surveys.

My Transcripts

Accessing Reports

To access reports, click on the My Transcripts icon on the top right of the screen.

Initiating a Report360Training.com offers a range of ways to view your progress and results. To view each of your reports, choose the report type on the left side of the screen then click the Execute Report button in the center of the screen. Each of the courses can be printed by clicking the print icon on the upper right of the report screen.

Performance by CourseThis summary provides a high level outlook of all learner groups and their registered member statistics. As the name suggests, this report provides information on performance in each course in a learner group. The report includes: course name, whether the course is complete, completion date, percent complete, pre-test score, pre test passed, post test passed, highest post test score, nimber of quizzes taken, course status.

Performance by Course (Transcript)Some programs require transcripts as proof of successful course completion. This report provides: course name, course complete, completion date, percent complete, first access date, last access date, total number of launches, seat time (minutes) spent in the course, pre test score, pre test passed, average post test score, highest post test score, lowest post test score, last post test date, quiz passed, average quiz score, highest quiz score, number quizzes taken, number post tests taken, average improvement (average post test score – pre test score).

Performance by Training PlanThis report is appropriate for those who have a specified training plan. The report addresses the training plan as a whole and includes: average percent complete, number of courses not started, number of courses in progress, number of coursese completed, number of courses expired, number of courses locked, total number of courses, average post test score, average quiz score, average highest improvement (average highest post test score – average pre test score).

Performance Summary (All Course Groups)This report is especially useful if you have more than one group of courses. It includes: average percent complete, number of courses not started, number of courses in progress, number of courses completed, number of courses expired, number of courses locked, total number of courses, average pre test score, average post test score, average quiz score, average highest improvement (average highest post test score – average pre test score).

Performance Summary (All Courses)This report offers summary statistics of all of the courses available to you. The statistics presented are: average percent complete, number of courses not started, number of courses in progress, number of courses completed, number of courses expired, number of courses locked, total number of courses, average post test score, average quiz score, average highest improvement (average highest post test score – average pre test score).

My Profile

Profile

Review or edit your profile, by clicking on the Profile icon on the upper right of the My Courses page. This will allow you to review/revise your Personal Information, Login Information or Custom Fields.

Preferences

Review or edit your user preferences by clicking on the Profile icon . At the Profile screen, click on the Preferences button on the left. On the Preferences screen, you will be able to adjust: audio, captioning, bandwidth, video, registration emails and enrollment emails.

Exiting the System

To log out of the LMS system, close the corresponding browser window.

Course Player Navigation Buttons

Although many of the site’s buttons are grey, they’re still active.

Courses

To help you learn and retain course information, 360training.com courses are designed to be highly engaging. Course presentations are varied using dynamic graphics, click-through information, quizzes, lessons, and much more. You can even listen to the course as you progress. (See Player Customization and Settings section for directions.)

Course Menu

The Menu button offers a top line of the course: Table of Contents, Course Material (list of lessons), Glossary and Bookmarks. To see the contents of each tab, click on the tab. If you are just beginning a course, the first time you click on the menu button, it will take you through an Orientation and Introduction of the course. This includes such topics as Subject Matter Experts, Important Instructions, Course Description and Learning Objectives. Take note: the tiny blue tab on the right expands the box to fill the page. Once expanded, the tab shrinks it back again.

Course Progress/Time SpentWhile taking a course, you can monitor your progress by checking the course progress status bar at the bottom of each page. This will visually indicate how much of the course you have completed, how much time you have spent and how far you still have to go. This bar is also presented on the My Courses page next to the appropriate course.

Bookmarks

While working through a course, if there is a page that you would like to bookmark and return to later.

Press the Boorkmark icon on the bottom left of the page. This will take you to a screen that allows you to name your bookmark and save the page. When you would like to go back to the page. Click on the

Menu icon on the bottom of the page. A navigation bar will appear on the left of the screen. At the bottom of this bar, click on Bookmark and your bookmarks will be shown.

Tests

Pre-AssessmentPre-Assessment Knowledge Checks are brief, often one or two page checks of a small amount of course material. They are often less formal and may allow you to look back at the material to double-check your answer. Knowledge Checks also provide immediate information regarding whether or not your answer is correct. Some Knowledge Checks may also proved Feedback, which reinforces the correct answer.

Lesson Assessments/QuizzesAt intervals throughout the course, you may be asked to take a Lesson Assessment or quiz. Click the Begin Lesson Assessment or Begin Quiz button at the bottom of the page to begin.

Lesson Assessments and Final Exams follow the same progressive course. For more information, review the Final Exam section below.

Post Assessment/Final ExamsWhen you complete most courses, you will be required to take and pass a final exam. The exam start page will detail the percentage rate required to pass the exam. To start taking the test, press the Begin Final Exam button on the bottom left of the screen.

After answering each question, click the Next ( > ) button at the bottom of the page. If your answer is correct, [graphic: green check and the word “Correct”] will appear on the top left of the screen. If not, [graphic: red X and the word “Incorrect”] will appear. You will not be allowed to re-answer incorrect questions. Move to the next question by clicking the Next ( > ) button a second time.

Progress TallyAt any time during an Assessment or the Final Exam, you can see how many questions you’ve answered and how many are left by looking at the Progress Tally on the upper right of the screen.

Test ResultsTest Score Summary

After the last lesson assessment or final exam question, your score will be presented. It will report how many questions there were, how many you got right and your percentage of success. You must make the required percentage stated at the beginning of the lesson or higher to pass. If you don’t pass on the first try, you will be able to re-take the assessment until you do.

Individual Question Score

After taking the test and learning your overall score, the system shows your Individual Question Score. This score presents your answers to each question and whether each was correct or incorrect.

Show Answers

At the bottom of the Individual Question Score scroll-down box is a Show Answers button. This button takes you to a reviw of each of the questions, your answer to each question and whether the answer was correct or incorrect. With Show Answers reports, there may be a brief review of the reasoning behind the correct answer to reinforce your correct answer or help you correct your mistake.

Retake a TestIf you score below the stated percentage on a Lesson Assessment, you must re-take and pass the test before proceeding with the course. To complete the course satisfactorily, you will need to earn a passing grade on the Final Exam. If you do not pass a test, you will be re-directed to the first page of the test after reviewing your scores.

Player Customization and Settings

On each individual course, there will be Customization icon on the bottom right of the screen. The Accessibility icon is middle icon and is shaped like cogs on a wheel.

Player ConfigurationConfiguration options include toggling the audio and captioning features on and off, and adjusting the volume.

Course Session Expired/Time Out

If there is no activity on your account (meaning, you don’t press any buttons) for XXX minutes, the system will time out and your session will expire. You will not lose information. When you reopen this course, you will be returned to the beginning of the lesson or test.

Exiting/Logging Out

To log out of a course, click the Logout button and you will be taken to the My Courses screen.

Help

If you have questions, click the help button on the bottom left of the screen.
