Sonderausstellung im Huber-Hus19.06. – 03.10.2016

STERBSTUND: Über den Tod als ein Stück vom Leben in früheren ZeitenDer Tod wird heute vielfach verdrängt. Er ist der gründlich tabuisierte Störenfried in einer Atmosphäre allseits verbreiteter Lebenslust. Früher gehörte er zum Leben und war sichtbar. Gebete wurden meist mit der Bitte um eine glückliche Sterbstund abgeschlossen und kam der Tod, stellte er ein besonderes und feierliches Ereignis dar. Familienangehörige, Freunde und Nachbarn versammelten sich im Sterbezimmer um Abschied zu nehmen. Aufgefundene Plätze in Lech, historische Fotografien und Gegenstände aus Vorarlberg zei-gen, wie der Tod einst ein Stück Leben war.

STERBSTUND (HOUR OF DEATH): How death was a part of life in days gone byThese days we tend to repress the concept of death. It is viewed as a troublesome taboo in the face of a widespread zest for life. In the past it was part of life and not brushed under the carpet. Prayers were often concluded with a plea for a good death, and when the end came it was something to be celebrated. Family members, friends and neighbours would gather together in the room where the dead person lay in order to say their farewells. Certain places in Lech and historical photographs and objects from Vorarlberg show how death was once a part of life.

Daher werden Ihnen bei den Strecken wieder einige Neuerungen den Fahrgenuss ver-süßen. Auf den rund 650 Kilometern unterhalten wir Sie auf einer atemberaubenden und zum Teil ganz neuen Streckenführung mit rund 20 Wertungsprüfungen. Ebenso wichtig ist uns eine entspannte Atmosphäre vom Start bis ins Ziel, ganz nach unserem Motto: „Mit Freunden durch alpine Traumkulissen“.

A historic rally against the magnificent backdrop of Alpine scenery with a very special and unique atmosphere is what sets the Arlberg Classic Car Rally apart. The pleasure of driving this route will therefore be enhanced by some new features. Along the 650 kilometres of the route we entertain you with a breathtaking, and in parts completely new course with around 20 special stages. An equally important factor for us is to ensure a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish, in line with our motto: „Travel with friends through beautiful Alpine scenery“.

2. Lech Golf Cup09.07.2016

Es grünt so grün: Der 19 Hektar große, handicap-wirksame 9-Loch-Golfplatz in Lech-Zug ist die „perfekte Spielwiese mitten in der Natur“ und bietet Golfern jeglicher Spielstärke mit PAR 66 eine spannende, aber realisierbare Herausforderung. Am 09. Juli 2016 dürfen Sie Ihr Können unter Beweis stellen. Beim Lech Golf Cup spielen Gäste zusammen mit Hoteliers – eine besondere Kombination.

The lure of the greens: The 19-hectare, 9-hole golf course in Lech-Zug is the „perfect playing field in the heart of nature“ and with its PAR 66 rating provides golfers of any handicap with an exciting but manageable challenge. Come and put your skills to the test on 9 July. The Lech Golf Cup sees guests playing alongside hoteliers – a quite unique combination.

Lecher Dorffest16.07.2016

Das Fest beginnt traditionell mit einem Platzkonzert der einheimischen Trachtenkapelle Lech, bei welchem mit Fassanstich und klingendem Spiel das Lecher Dorffest eröffnet wird. Anschließend geht es blasmusikalisch weiter. Bands sorgen für eine gesellige Stimmung am Rüfiplatz Lech. Und natürlich sorgen verschiedenste Lecher Betriebe für das leibliche Wohl bei einheimischen Spezialitäten und guten Tropfen.

Lech Village Festival

The festival begins with an open-air concert given by the local Trachtenkapelle Lech in their tra-ditional costumes, where with much fanfare and merriment the Lech Village Festival is officially declared open. In the afternoon, brass band music is played and creates a convivial atmosphere in Lech‘s Rüfiplatz. And naturally various local establishments provide creature comforts in the form of regional specialities and fine wine.

Ein Fest in der ganzen Destination Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

A beautiful setting, children and adults in an array of traditional costumes, dancers of all ages, musicians and singers from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol, happy people from all around the world enjoying the spectacle – the day is a musical treat from start to finish. A festival throughout the entire resort of Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

5. Lech Classic Festival02.08. – 06.08.2016

2016 findet das „Lech Classic Festival“ wiederum in der ersten Augustwoche an fünf auf-einanderfolgenden Tagen statt. Aus einem lokalen, regionalen Ereignis wird das „ 5. Lech Classic Festival“ nun erstmals überregionale Bedeutung erlangen. Denn: Höhepunkt der Ver-anstaltungsreihe wird eine „Operngala“ zum Eröffnungskonzert und als Abschluss eine kon-zertante Aufführung des 1. Aktes der „Walküre“ aus Richard Wagner‘s „Ring des Nibelun-gen“ sein. Für diese Aufführung werden weltweit gefeierte Opernstars nach Lech kommen. Schauplatz dieser Veranstaltungsreihe ist der wunderschöne und akustisch hervorragende Sakralraum der Neuen Kirche Lech.

5th Lech Classic Festival

In 2016 the „Lech Classic Festival“ will once more take place over five consecutive days in the first week of August. What started as a local and regional event has now gained national significance. The highlights of this year‘s series of concerts are an „Operatic Gala“ as the inaugural concert and at the end of the week a performance of the first act of the „Valkyrie“ from Richard Wagner‘s „Ring Cycle“. Opera stars of international renown will be coming to Lech for this performance. The venue for this series of events is the beautiful sacred space in Lech‘s New Church with its superb acoustics.

Jazz Bühne Lech10.08. – 13.08.2016

2016 kommt wieder feine Jazzmusik nach Lech. An vier Abenden finden in der Postgarage Lech Jazzkonzerte hochkarätiger Künstler statt. Die Musiker sind in der Szene bekannt und international preisgekrönt. Dieses Jahr werden uns Tord Gustavsen, das Gjermund Larsen Trio, Mathias Eick mit Band sowie das Anat Fort Trio mit einzigartiger Jazzmusik verwöhnen. Mehr Info zum Program: www.jazzbuehne-lech.at

In 2016 Lech will once more play host to some fine jazz music. Concerts given by top class jazz artists will be held over four evenings in the Postgarage. The musicians are well known in their field and have won international awards for their work. Das Trailrunningwochenende in Lech Zürs am Arlberg. Laufen in majästetischer Landschaft, auf Trails über Stock und Stein. Mit dabei: Runner‘s World und Profiläuferin Sabine Reiner – mit Pastaparty, Tannberglauf, Höhenhalbmarathon und abschließenden Regenerationslauf.Vor und nach den großen Veranstaltungen treffen Laufsportler mit einem Aufenthalt in Lech Zürs ebenfalls eine gute Wahl. Mit dem Höhenlaufpark Lech bietet Ihnen das Walserdorf vier leichte Strecken, zwei mittelschwierige und zwei schwierige Kurse, eine Berglaufstrecke und den Forstmeilen-Track für Trainingsläufe an.

The Trailrunning weekend in Lech Zürs am Arlberg. Run in majestic scenery on trails that cover hill and dale. The event is supported by Runner’s World and professional runner Sabine Reiner – with a pasta party, the Tannberg Run, a high-altitude half marathon and finally the Regeneration Run. Athletes staying in Lech Zürs before and after these big events also have a good choice of runs. The “High-altitude running park Lech” in this Alpine village gives you four easy routes, two of medium difficulty and two difficult ones, a mountain running trail and the Forstmeilen track for training runs.

Trans Vorarlberg Triathlon27.08.2016

Vom Bodensee zum Arlberg - 1,2 km Schwimmen - 93 km Radfahren - 12 km Laufen Der besondere Reiz: Es ist ein Triathlon, der durch ganz Vorarlberg führt. Vom Bodensee hinauf zum Arlberg nach Lech, der Topskidestination der Alpen. Nachdem man in der Früh den Bodensee nach 1,2 km überquert hat und dann mit dem Rad 93 km von Bregenz bis nach Lech gefahren ist, folgt der krönende Abschluss, der 12 km Lauf. Der TRANS VOR-ARLBERG Triathlon – ein Bewerb für Ausdauer- und Hobbyathleten – ob als Einzel- oder Staffelteilnehmer. Eine Herausforderung der besonderen Art – an die 1000 Sportler werden mit dabei sein.

Trans Vorarlberg Triathlon

From Lake Constance to Arlberg - 1.2 km swim - 93 km bike ride - 12 km run The particular appeal of this triathlon is that it takes participants to every part of Vorarlberg. From Lake Constance up to the Arlberg and to Lech, the top ski destination in the Alps. After you have swum 1.2 kilometres across Lake Constance early in the morning then cycled 93 kilometres from Bregenz to Lech, you are all set for the crowning glory that is the 12 kilometre run. The TRANS VORARLBERG Triathlon – a competition for endurance athletes and amateur triathletes, either as individuals or in teams. A very special challenge – for the 1000 sportsmen and women who take part.

Ski-Club Arlberg Herbstwochenende08.09. – 11.09.2016

Das Herbstwochenende mit dem besonderen Programm für alle SCA Mitglieder. Die SCA-Wanderführer haben bereits jetzt einige sehr interessante und landschaftlich reizvolle Routen zusammengestellt von hochalpin bis Genusswanderung ist alles dabei.Die 116. Generalversammlung des Ski-Club Arlberg findet am Samstag, den 10. September 2016 auf der Rud-Alpe in Lech statt. Im Anschluss daran wird es einen zünftigen Hüttenabend geben. Dort wo im Winter der „Einkehrschwung“ stattfindet, wird im September dem An-lass entsprechend bei Live-Musik, kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten und guter Simmung gefeiert. SCA-Mitglieder in Dirndl und Lederhosen sind natürlich ganz besonders gerne gesehen. „Über Gott und die Welt. Philosophieren in unruhiger Zeit.“ Über „Gott und die Welt“ zu spre-chen, klingt auf den ersten Blick beliebig: Eine Rede über alles und nichts. Auf den zweiten Blick verbergen sich hinter dieser Formel die entscheidenden Fragen des Menschen, jene Fra-gen, denen sich auch die Philosophie seit mehr als zwei Jahrtausenden widmet. 5. Festival LegeArtis Lech16.09. – 18.09.2016

LegeArtis Lech ist ein internationales Musikfestival, das sich eine herausfordernde Aufgabe zum Ziel gesetzt hat: Eine Konzertplattform für Musiker der nächsten Generation zu schaffen. Ebenso bietet das Festival jungen sowie bereits erfolgreichen Musikern die Möglichkeit, mit renommierten Künstlern Seite an Seite aufzutreten. Im Sommerort Lech am Arlberg lässt sich das abwechslungsreiche Outdoorangebot mit dem Kulturgenuss wunderbar verbinden. Das Festival LegeArtis Lech belebt zusammen mit dem Philosophicum Lech die Kulturhoch-saison im Herbst. Das Festival präsentiert ein Musikprogramm des zeitgenössischen estni-schen Komponisten Arvo Pärt, einschließlich seines berühmten Werkes „Stabat Mater“, das auf historischen, für die Epoche der Frühromantik typischen Instrumenten aufgeführt wird.

5th Festival LegeArtis Lech

LegeArtis Lech is an international music festival which sets itself a challenging task – to create a con-cert platform for classic music stars of the next generation. The festival also provides a stage for young and already successful musicians to perform side by side with renowned artists. Outdoor activities and sports create the image of Lech during summer, while Festival LegeArtis Lech followed by Philosoph-icum Lech embody the cultural season of the Lech during autumn. In Lech, the festival will present a program of music of contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, including his famous Stabat Mater. The program, performed on historical instruments, is typical of the era of early romanticism.
