This body is the Temple of God, in which the jewel of knowledge is revealed.

ਸਚੇ ਮਾ�ਲ ਨੁ ਲਗੋਈ ਮਾਲ ਲ�ਗੋ� ਦੇ�ਜਾ� ॥ ਭ�ਇ ਧੋ��� ਮਾ�ਤਿਲ ਨੁ ਉ�ਰਾ� ਜਾ ਅਠਸਤਿਠ ��ਰਾਥ ਨੁ�ਇ ॥

Filth does not stick to those who are true, but filth attaches itself to those who love duality.

This filth cannot be washed off, even by bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage.

Around your neck is a rosary, and on your forehead is a sacred mark; upon your head is a turban, and you wear two loin cloths. If you knew the nature of God, you would know that all of these beliefs and rituals are in vain.

People are engaged in making all sorts of efforts; they contemplate the various aspects of the six Shaastras.Rubbing ashes all over their bodies, they wander around at the various sacred shrines of pilgrimage; they fast until their bodies are emaciated, and braid their hair into tangled messes. They perform worship ceremonies, draw ritual marks on their bodies, cook their own food fanatically, and make pompous shows of themselves in all sorts of ways. ||2||11||20||

You may observe the thirty fasts, and say the five prayers each day, but Satan can undo them.

One may read all the books of the Vedas, the Bible, the Simritees and the Shaastras, but they will not bring liberation. Ang 33

॥� ਦੇ ਕੀ� � ਕੀਹੁਹੁ ਮਾ� ਝੂ�ਠ ਝੂ�ਠ� ਜਾ� ਨੁ ਤਿ�ਚੇ�ਰਾ�Do not say that the Vedas, the Bible and the Koran are false. Those who do not contemplate them are false.

ਪ�ਤਿ3� ਪਤਿ. ਪਤਿ. ਵ�ਦੇ ਵਖ�ਣਤਿਹੁ ਤਿ�ਨੁ ਗੋਰਾ ਭਰਾਤਿਮਾ ॥ਭਲ�ਏਲਖ ਚੇਉਰਾ�ਸ�ਹੁ ਫੋ ਰਾ ਪਇਆ ਤਿ�ਨੁ ਸ�ਦੇ� ਮਾਕੀਤਿ� ਨੁ ਪ�ਏ ॥

The Pandits, the religious scholars, read and argue and stir up controversies, but without the Guru, they are deluded by doubt.

They wander around the cycle of 8.4 million reincarnations; without the Shabad, they do not attain liberation.

They read religious books that teach how to meet God. They call these books the Word of God. In the books truthful living is discussed.

They just read-they don’t want to do what the books actually tell them to do.

When I ask them do you do what your Holy Book says? They pick and choose.

People pick and choose because they cant control their mind!

ਇਤਿਕੀ ਵਣ ਖ�ਤਿ3 ��ਸਤਿਹੁ ਜਾ�ਇ ਸਦੇ ਨੁ ॥ ਦੇ ਵਹੁ� ਇਤਿਕੀ ਪ�ਲ� ਕੀਕੀਰਾ ਭ�ਤਿਨੁ ਸ��ਲ ਜਾਲ ਹੁ4ਵਹੁ� ॥ ਇਤਿਕੀ ਭਸਮਾ ਚੇੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਹੁ1�ਵਤਿਹੁ ਅ�ਤਿਗੋ ਮਾ�ਲ ਨੁ ॥ ਧੋ�ਵਹੁ� ਇਤਿਕੀ ਜਾਟੁ� ਤਿ�ਕੀਟੁ ਤਿ�ਕੀਰਾ�ਲ ਕੀਲ ਘਰਾ ਖ�ਵਹੁ� ॥

Some go and sit in the forest realms, and do not answer any calls.Some, in the dead of winter, break the ice and immerse themselves in freezing water.Some rub ashes on their bodies, and never wash off their dirt.Some look hideous, with their uncut hair matted and disheveled. They bring dishonor to their family and ancestry.

॥ਇਤਿਕੀ ਨੁਗੋਨੁ ਤਿਫੋਰਾਤਿਹੁ ਤਿਦੇਨੁ ਰਾ�ਤਿ� ਨੁ�ਦੇ ਨੁ ਸ�ਵਹੁ� ॥ ਇਤਿਕੀ ਅਗੋਤਿਨੁ ਜਾਲ�ਵਤਿਹੁ ਅ�ਗੋ ਆਪ ਤਿਵਗੋ�ਵਹੁ� ਤਿਵਣ ॥ ॥ ॥ਨੁ�ਵ� �ਨੁ ਛਾ�ਰਾ ਤਿਕੀਆ ਕੀਤਿਹੁ ਰਾ�ਵਹੁ� ਸ�ਹੁਤਿਨੁ ਖਸਮਾ ਦੇਆਤਿਰਾ ਤਿਜਾ ਸਤਿ�ਗੋਰਾ ਸ ਵਹੁ� ੧੫

Some wander naked day and night and never sleep.Some burn their limbs in fire, damaging and ruining themselves.Without the Name, the body is reduced to ashes; what good is it to speak and cry then?Those who serve the True Guru, are embellished and exalted in the Court of their Lord and Master. ||15||

They perform all sorts of rituals, but they do not obtain liberation through them. Ang 123

Fred asks himself: When I watch TV, where is my Mind?

My mind is in the TV, not in my Body.

If God is in me, then to see God is it physical or do I have to see it with my mind?

How does the TV project shows?

The TV set receives signals which creates pictures on the screen.

Signals = Waves

• The manufacturer makes the TV

• The TV is physical • The signals/waves are subtle• The signal the TV is tuned in

to determines the picture I see.

The union of air, water and fire -the body is the play-thing of the fickle and unsteady intellect.

It has nine doors, and then there is the Tenth Gate.Reflect upon this and understand it, O wise one. ||1||

What needs to happen in order to keep the TV on, but

turn it off mentally?

The mind has to come out of the TV and back in to the body

Fred shuts off the TV.

He keeps looking at the screen keeping the mind in the TV to see where it goes?

Fred sees himself. And he realizes…

Thoughts create action/ karam

Thoughts are invisible waves. I cant see them. I see only the result of them. Just like the waves transmitted to the TV, these thoughts transmit through my body and bind me to the world.

I ride these thoughts like waves and they lead me outside my body.

Everything is inside of me.

ਭ� ਕੀ�ਤਿਟੁ ਤਿਨੁਰਾਭਉ �ਰਾਤਿਹੁ ਦੇ�ਰਾ ਗੋਤਿਰਾ ਤਿਮਾਤਿਲਐ ਕੀ�ਰਾਜਾ ॥ ਸ�ਰਾਏ

Quieting your fears, become fearless, and you shall cross over the impassible world ocean. Meeting the Guru, your affairs shall be resolved.

My Mind is so greedy for TV. It won’t shut it off. Why can’t it get enough? The nature of the mind is greedy.

For my Mind to experience the body it must be on the same

The Lord created the mind, and fashioned the entire body. From the five elements, He formed it, and infused His Light within it.

॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ ਕੀਹੁ� ਕੀ��ਰਾ ਨੁਵ� ਘਰਾ ਮਾ�ਸ ਦੇਸਵ9 �� ਸਮਾ�ਈ ੩ ੨੨ ੭੩Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the true essence. ||3||22||73||

             ॥ ॥ਨੁਉ ਦੇਰਾਵ�ਜਾ ਦੇਸਵ� ਮਾਕੀ�� ਅਨੁਹੁਦੇ ਸ�ਦੇ ਵਜਾ�ਵਤਿਣਆ ੩Beyond the nine gates, the Tenth Gate is found, and liberation is obtained. The Unstruck Melody of the Shabad vibrates. ||3||

The Gurmukh mind’s devotion is in an awakened state. Hearing the unstruck music of the sound current, this mind contemplates the Shabad, and accepts it.

Seeking itself (the mind), it finds the Atama attuned to Nirinkar. ||7||

॥ ॥ਆਇ ਨੁ ਜਾ�ਇ �ਸ� ਇਹੁ ਠ�ਹੁਰਾ ਜਾਹੁ ਆਸਨੁ ਤਿਨੁਰਾ�ਕੀ�ਰਾ� ੧

This mind does not come and go; it abides in that place,

where Nirinkar keeps His asan. ||1||

॥ ॥ ਇਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਕੀਰਾਮਾ� ਇਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਧੋਰਾਮਾ� ਇਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਪ�ਚੇ �� � ਜਾਨੁਮਾ� ਸ�ਕੀ� ਲ�ਭ� ਇਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ॥ ॥ ॥ ਮਾ�.� ਗੋਰਾਮਾਤਿਖ ਨੁ�ਮਾ ਜਾਪ� ਮਾਨੁ ਰਾ�.� ੩

These are the actions the mind commits and this is the Dharma of the Mind. This mind is born of the five elements. This mind is Sakat, perverted and greedy. The Gurmukh chants Naam and the mind becomes beautiful. ||3||
