DEAR CLIENT,

LEDs are a very efficient light source with many benefits. LEDs offer light whichis free of UV and infrared frequencies, with a minimal energy consumptionand a life expectancy in excess of 50,000 operating hours in a compactand micro package. LED technical development and “improvement of lightoutput doubles every 2 years. Today LEDs have already exceeded thevalues of halogen and incandescent lamps. In the near future the light out-put/efficiency will approach that of fluorescent lighting.” (Citation: Information to implementation of light No. 17, page 1, Support-association Good Light / "Informationen zur Lichtanwendung Nr. 17, S. 1,Fördergemeinschaft Gutes Licht")

The "Light Emitting Diode", in German "Lichtabstrahlende Diode" for short"LED", consists of the actual LED chip, a reflector, a contact wire, and pla-stic housing which culminates the light in a lens. The LED chip itself is a semi-conductor which emits light when stimulated by electricity. The diverse LED

light colours red, green, blue, yellow and amber are achieved by the use of different semi-conductor materials. WhiteLED light can be created by two different methods. The first method is by mixing red, green, and blue colours (RGB).

This method is used in our LED strips, LED lightbank, RGB bulbs, and LED in serts. The other method is a white lightemitting LED. Normally this is done by using a blue LED coated with a yellow phosphor powder, that filters the blueemitted light to produce a white color. By using a precise concentration of the applied phosphor, only a white lightwill be visible.

LEDs function like a normal diode: It works like a check-valve and will allow the current to pass through in only onedirection. Therefore, the LED must be operated and connected in the "open" direction in order to get the LED to emitlight. This is achieved by connecting the anode with the positive pole and the cathode with the negative pole.

If it is connected in reverse, the current will not flow through and the LED will not light up. If the LED is accidentallyconnected to AC (alternating current) the so called "60Hz - Flicker" will occur. This is the result of the positive andnegative changes of the half wave (cycle).

Depending upon the color of the LED, the operating voltage can vary from 1,8V to 3,6V. A standard 5mm LED, asshown on the right side, operates on a maximum current of 20mA. Higher current will cause overheating and reducethe life expectancy significantly or may also destroy the LED immediately. Therefore, LEDs should only be operated with an in-line resistor, sized according to the supplied voltage.

High power-LEDs demand a stricter operating standard for a uniform control of the current. Only by using the precisecurrent (e.g. 350mA on 1W LED or 700mA on 3W LED) the maximum brightness will be achieved, without destroy-ing the LED. Therefore, high power LEDs should only be operated with a special LED-Driver.

Standard electronic components have a tolerance of up to 10%, but the LED-driver delivers a very precise and con-trolled current, even when the voltage fluctuates. Voltage fluctuations in a normal power supply will also result in afluctuation that may exceed the maximum allowed current of the high power LEDs, causing a premature failure. When a white high power LED is connected to a 350mA constant current LED-Driver, the secondary voltage isapprox. 3,2V. When another high power LED is added to the circuit in series, the current will remain constant at350mA, while at the same time voltage will increase to circa 6,4V. high power LEDs should always be connected inseries with the LED driver. If the high power LEDs are accidentally connected in parallel to the LED driver, the secon-dary current will be split, thus causing a decrease in the current supplied to each LED.

With the explanation above, it gets clear that a specific installation method is imperative in order to avoid overloa-ding and damaging the LED. As a general rule: first connect the secondary leads (LEDs to driver), then connect theprimary 120V leads (Driver to 10V).

In this catalogue, we are presenting a variety of LED products, all take advantage of the technical benefit of utilizingLEDs as an alternative to traditional light sources.

On these pages, you will also find our new LED recess modules for the effectual illumination of hand rails and bani-sters. In the past, visual effects and decorative lighting have been the main applications for LEDs, which has restrictedtheir use to string and rope lighting products. Our current products like the DomeLED series or the new Book LED, aspecial luminary for the application in book shelves already solve functional illumination requirements.

Our recessed LED fixtures are recommended for display case lighting, due to their compact design and minimal heatgeneration. The LED delivers a neutral-white without infrared (IR) or ultraviolet (UV) components and is therefore per-fectly suited for the illumination of your delicate and light sensitive paintings and pictures. In this context we would liketo point your attention to our new LED picture lights collection.

Outdoor fixtures often run for long periods of time in order to achieve their desired design effect. Our LED outdoorfixtures benefit from their low energy consumption and the long life expectancy of the LED light source.

Our LED strips offer almost unlimited application and design possibilities for large scale areas, areas where an extre-mely compact light source is required, and applications requiring color changing capabilities. Furthermore they are,according to the model and combination with our LIM®-light in motion color change technology, able to emit colorcontrolled light.

Together with modern LED technology Cygnis captivates with its puristicalelegant design and high functionality. The ultra flat 6W LED surface matches the clear, geometrical shaped lines and provides a clear, warmwhite light output. The switch of the 41 cm high, entirely aluminium pro-duced designer lamp is included in the connection lead. With the integra-ted LED driver in the mains plug the lamp is ready for use with 230V.

LIM® LIGHT IN MOTIONExtraordinary atmosphere by coloured light realizationwith the multicolour lighting bank and light modules of theLIM®-light systems. Additive colour mixture with six colour fluorescent bulbsmakes the simulation of various colour situa tions possible,from the neutral colour of daylight up to all spectralcolours of light. Even finest pastel shades in exceptionallyhomogeneous light distribution are no problem. The LIM® lighting technology offers various applicationpossibilities to you: in sales and presentation areas thelight attraction of colour changing luminous ceilings andlight banks provide a special attention. In business areasyou can control the quantity of light, colour of light andlight balance of whole office wings. In the reception orhotel area as well as in the catering trade you can cre-ate a stylish atmosphere with LIM® light elements. Inmedical practices and hospitals the LIM® Light systemmakes special lighting solutions possible depending upondesire either more functionally or more decoratively.

With a RGB-Master-Light bank a max. of 200 RGBSlave-Light-Banks can be controlled. With the installationof the light bank a maximum usage of the electrical circuitmust be adhered to. (per 16 ampere electric circuit upto 30 RGB Slave-Light banks). The LIM® RGB controlconsole en ables together with the RGB master lightbanks and/or RGB master light module the control andthe calling up of light colour and light level by a key stroke. 4 light scenes can be pre-programmed and calledup by a key stroke. Also dynamic sequences of the pro-grammed light scenes are possible due to selectable sta-tionary and change-over times. 4 different sequencingprograms with 8 light scenes each are already stored inthe system. Further features are panic circuit, externalswitching entry and variable time intervals.

A comfortable system, which does not require priorknowledge of the system. It can also be used by endusers without problem.

Multicolor-lightmodules with particularly homo genous light emission for the universal application in light wallsthrough simple surface fitting and lighting up a diffuser wall mounted at a distance. According to application thisdistance can vary between 20 cm or more. The applied bulbs must be from the same manufacturer and be burned- infor 100 hours at full 100% brightness to guarantee a equal colour distribution and quality. A data sheet can besent on request.

LED MULTIFUNCTION-MODULE

The LED multifunction module is the core of an universal system for the installation of LED-lighting in furniture, cavity walls and tubes.The modules can be inserted into external ready-made cut outs, which can be shaped insteel, wood or plastic by an specialist. Simple elongated holes are sufficient for this application.The wiring can fed through the cavity from one cut-out to the other, feed-in and connector with bolted two way-adapter are intended for a simple connection. Also the mounting in narrow tubes will work without any problems.A conventional transformer (24V) is needed for the power supply. A 20VA transformer is sufficient to operate up to20 modules. The fastening of the plugged modules can be made externally by torx screws. The potential areas ofapplication are multifaceted. The transparent polycarbonate casted module has protection IP65, therefore thesystem is suitable for outdoor applications like integrated lighting of handrails, banisters and similar areas.

The special feature of the multifunction module is the high functionality, without an interference of the architecturalenvironment. You can produce safety- or effectlighting, without visible light sources.A modul contains 12 LEDs with a total power input of 0,65W and is optionally obtainable in white or warm whitelight colour.

The LIM®2 4-Channel controller makes setting and calling up of colour of light or light level possible on keystrokes.4 groups of lights with digital operating devices for a control voltage of 1-10 V (ex. fluorescent bulbs, low-voltagehalogen, high volt halogen bulbs or LED applications) can be controlled, 4 light sequences pre-programmed canalso be called up by keystrokes. entgegenstehender oder von unseren Verkaufsbedingungen abweichender Be din gun gen des Kunden die Lieferung an den Kunden vorbehaltlos ausführen.

3)Mit der ersten Bestellung nach Erhalt dieser Verkaufsbedingungen und jeder weiteren erkennt der Kunde diese als verbindliche Regelung der

Die zum Angebot gehörenden Unterlagen stellen keine Zusicherung von Eigenschaften dar, sie dienen nur der Orientierung des Bestellers.

2)Mit der Bestellung einer Ware erklärt der Kunde verbindlich, die bestellte Ware erwerben zu wollen. Wir sind berechtigt, das in der Bestellung liegende

Vertrags an ge bot innerhalb von 2 Wochen nach Eingang bei uns anzunehmen. Die Annahme kann entweder schriftlich oder durch Auslieferung der Ware

4)Bestellt der Unternehmer die Ware auf elektronischem Wege, wird die Verpflichtung zur Bestätigung der Bestellung gemäß § 312 e I BGB ausdrücklich

ausgschlossen.

§ 3 Eigentumsvorbehalt1)Wir behalten uns das Eigentum an der Kaufsache bis zum Eingang aller Zahlungen aus der Geschäftsverbindung mit dem Kunden vor. Bei vertragswidri-

gem Verhalten des Kunden, insbesondere bei Zahlungsverzug, sind wir berechtigt, die Kaufsache zurückzunehmen. In der Zurücknahme der Kaufsache

durch uns liegt ein Rücktritt vom Vertrag. Wir sind nach Rücknahme der Kaufsache zu deren Verwertung befugt; der Verwertungserlös ist auf die

Verbindlichkeiten des Kunden – abzüglich angemessener Verwertungskosten – anzurechnen.

2)Der Kunde ist gehalten, die Kaufsache pfleglich zu behandeln; insbesondere ist er verpflichtet, diese auf eigene Kosten gegen Feuer-, Wasser- und

Diebstahlsschäden ausreichend zum Neuwert zu versichern. Sofern Wartungs- und Inspektionsarbeiten erforderlich sind, muss der Kunde diese auf eigene

Kosten rechtzeitig durchführen.

3)Bei Pfändungen oder sonstigen Eingriffen Dritter hat uns der Kunde unverzüglich schriftlich zu benachrichtigen, damit wir Klage gemäß § 771 ZPO erheben

können. Soweit der Dritte nicht in der Lage ist, uns die gerichtlichen und außergerichtlichen Kosten einer Klage gemäß § 771 ZPO zu erstatten, haftet der

Kunde für den uns entstandenen Ausfall.

4)Der Kunde ist berechtigt, die Kaufsache im ordentlichen Geschäftsgang weiter zu verkaufen; er tritt uns jedoch bereits jetzt alle Forderungen in Höhe des

Faktura-End be trages (einschließlich MwSt.) unserer Forderung ab, die ihm aus der Weiterveräußerung gegen seine Abnehmer oder Dritte erwachsen, und

zwar unabhängig davon, ob die Kaufsache ohne oder nach Verarbeitung weiterverkauft worden ist. Zur Einziehung dieser Forderung bleibt der Kunde

auch nach der Abtretung ermächtigt. Unsere Befugnis, die Forderung selbst einzuziehen, bleibt hiervon unberührt.

Wir verpflichten uns jedoch, die Einziehung zu unterlassen, solange der Kunde seinen Zah lungs ver pflich tun gen aus den vereinnahmten Erlösen nachkommt,

nicht in Zahlungsverzug gerät und insbesondere keine Zahlungseinstellung eintritt oder ein Antrag auf Eröffnung eines Vergleichs- oder Insolvenzverfahrens

gestellt ist. Ist aber dies der Fall, so können wir verlangen, dass der Kunde uns die abgetretenen Forderungen und deren Schuldner bekannt gibt, alle zum

Einzug erforderlichen Angaben macht, die dazugehörigen Unterlagen aushändigt und den Schuldnern (Dritten) die Abtretung mitteilt.

5)Wird die Kaufsache mit anderen, uns nicht gehörenden Gegenständen untrennbar vermischt, so erwerben wir das Miteigentum an der neuen Sache im

Verhältnis des Wertes der Kaufsache (Fakturaendbetrag, einschließlich MwSt.) zu den anderen vermischten Gegenständen zum Zeitpunkt der Vermischung.

Erfolgt die Vermischung in der Weise, dass die Sache des Kunden als Hauptsache anzusehen ist, so gilt als vereinbart, dass der Kunde uns anteilmäßig

Miteigentum überträgt. Der Kunde verwahrt das so entstandene Alleineigentum oder Miteigentum für uns.

6)Der Kunde tritt uns auch die Forderungen zur Sicherung unserer Forderungen gegen ihn ab, die durch die Verbindung der Kaufsache mit einem Grundstück

gegen einen Dritten erwachsen.

7)Wir verpflichten uns, die uns zustehenden Sicherheiten auf Verlangen des Kunden insoweit freizugeben, als der realisierbare Wert unserer Sicherheiten die

zu sichernden Forderungen um mehr als 10% übersteigt; die Auswahl der freizugebenden Sicherheiten obliegt uns.

8)An Abbildungen, Zeichnungen, Kalkulationen und sonstigen Unterlagen behalten wir uns Eigentums- und Urheberrechte vor.

§ 4 Preise – Zahlungsbedingungen1)Unsere im Angebot genannten Preise gelten unter dem Vorbehalt, dass die der Angebotsangabe zugrundeliegenden Auftragsdaten unverändert bleiben.

Unsere Preise verstehen sich “ab Werk”. Die Mehrwertsteuer ist nicht eingeschlossen; diese wird in der am Tage der Rechnungsstellung geltenden Höhe

gesondert ausgewiesen. Ver sand ver packung, Fracht, Porto, Versandkosten und Versicherung werden gesondert berechnet.

2)Sofern sich aus der Auftragsbestätigung nichts anders ergibt, ist Lieferung ”ab Werk” vereinbart. Der Versand erfolgt unfrei und grundsätzlich gegen

Nachnahme, wenn nicht insoweit eine andere Vereinbarung getroffen wurde. Liefern wir nicht gegen Nachnahme, ist der Kunde verpflichtet, innerhalb von

10 Tagen den Kaufpreis netto (ohne Abzug) zu zahlen. Nach Ablauf dieser Frist kommt der Kunde in Zahlungsverzug. Skonti bedürfen der gesonderten

Vereinbarung.

Die Geltendmachung von Mängeln oder Minderungen berührt die Fälligkeit der übrigen Kaufpreiszahlung nicht. Mängel eines Teils der gelieferten Ware

berechtigen nicht zur Beanstandung der gesamten Lieferung. Nach Eintritt des Verzugs hat der Kunde die Geldschuld in Höhe von 8% über dem

Basiszinssatz zu verzinsen. Wir behalten uns vor, einen höheren Verzugsschaden nachzuweisen und geltend zu machen.

3)Aufrechnungsrechte stehen dem Kunden nur zu, wenn seine Gegenansprüche rechtskräftig festgestellt, unbestritten oder von uns anerkannt sind. Zur

Ausübung eines Zurückbehaltungsrechtes ist er insoweit befugt, als sein Gegenanspruch auf dem gleichen Vertragsverhältnis beruht.

4)Praktizierte aber nicht vereinbarte Zahlungsziele können wir jederzeit mit angemessener Frist anpassen.

5)Bei Vorausleistungen unsererseits, insbesondere bei weiteren, sind wir berechtigt, Sicher heits leistung zu verlangen und hiervon unsere Leistung abhängig zu

machen. Dies gilt insbesondere, wenn Zweifel an der Bonität des Kunden, Unterdeckung oder Liquiditätslücken auftreten oder sich das ursprüngliche

Kreditvolumen erhöht. Wir sind be rechtigt, Teillieferungen als besondere Geschäfte abzurechnen. Werden unsere Zahlungsbedingungen nicht erfüllt oder

treten beim Kunden andere Ereignisse ein, die seine Kreditwürdigkeit zweifelhaft erscheinen lassen oder werden uns solche vor Vertragsabschluss vorhan-

denen Umstände erst nachträglich bekannt, können wir unbeschadet unserer sonstigen gesetzlichen Rechte für die Dauer des Zahlungs rückstandes weitere

Lieferungen aus demselben rechtlichen Verhältnis bis zur Tilgung der hieraus offenen Forderungen von Vorauszahlungen abhängig machen.

§ 5 Lieferzeit1)Der Beginn der von uns angegebenen Lieferzeit setzt die Klärung aller technischen Fragen voraus.

2)Die Einhaltung unserer Lieferverpflichtung setzt weiter die rechtzeitige und ordnungsgemäße Erfüllung der Verpflichtung des Kunden voraus. Die Einrede des

nichterfüllten Vertrages bleibt vorbehalten.

3)Die Gefahr des zufälligen Untergangs und der zufälligen Verschlechterung der Ware geht mit der Übergabe, beim Versendungskauf mit der Auslieferung

der Sache an den Spediteur, den Frachtführer oder sonst zur Ausführung der Versendung bestimmten Person auf den Käufer über.

4)Der Übergabe steht es gleich, wenn der Kunde in Verzug der Annahme ist.

5)Lieferzeitangaben werden nach Möglichkeit eingehalten. Bei Überschreiten der vereinbarten Lieferzeit sind Schadenersatzansprüche des Kunden wegen

fahrlässiger Vertragsverletzung ausgeschlossen.

Die angegebene Lieferzeit gilt nur annähernd. Werden wir an der rechtzeitigen Lieferung durch unvorhersehbare oder unverschuldete Ereignisse gehindert,

die bei zumutbarer Sorgfalt unabwendbar sind, verlängert sich die Lieferzeit angemessen.

§ 6 Gewährleistung1)Wir bestätigen, dass die von uns gelieferte Ware hinsichtlich ihrer Zusammensetzung, Qualität, Verpackung, Deklaration und Warenspezifikation den

gesetzlichen Be stimmungen entspricht.

Mängelansprüche des Kunden setzen voraus, dass dieser seinen nach § 377 Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB) geschuldeten Untersuchungs- und

Rügeobliegenheiten ordnungsgemäß nachgekommen ist.

2)Wir leisten für Mängel der Ware zunächst nach unserer Wahl Gewähr durch Nachbesserung oder Ersatzlieferung.

Schlägt die Nachlieferung fehl, kann der Kunde grundsätzlich nach seiner Wahl Herabsetzung der Vergütung (Minderung) oder Rückgängigmachung des

Vertrages (Rücktritt) verlangen. Bei einer nur geringfügigen Vertragswidrigkeit, insbesondere bei nur geringfügigen Mängeln, steht dem Kunden jedoch kein

Rücktrittrecht zu.

3)Wählt der Kunde wegen eines Rechts- oder Sachmangels nach gescheiterter Nacherfüllung den Rücktritt vom Vertrag, steht ihm daneben kein

Schadenersatz wegen des Mangels zu. Wählt er nach gescheiterter Nacherfüllung Schadenersatz, verbleibt die Ware bei ihm, wenn ihm dies zumutbar

ist Der Schadenersatz beschränkt sich auf die Differenz zwischen Kaufpreis und Wert der mangelhaften Ware. Dies gilt nicht, wenn wir die

Vertragsverletzung arglistig verursacht haben.

4)Die Gewährleistungsfrist beträgt 1 Jahr ab Ablieferung der Ware; es sei denn, aufgrund der Beschaffenheit der Ware ist die gewöhnliche Nutzungsdauer

(z.B. bei Leuchtmitteln) kürzer.

5)Als Beschaffenheit der Ware gilt grundsätzlich nur die Produktbeschreibung des Herstellers als vereinbart. Öffentliche Äußerungen, Anpreisungen oder

Werbung des Herstellers stellen daneben keine vertragsgemäße Beschaffenheit der Ware dar.

6)Garantien im Rechtsinne erhält der Kunde durch uns nicht. Herstellergarantien bleiben hiervon unberührt.

7)Erhält der Kunde eine mangelhafte Montageanleitung, sind wir lediglich zur Lieferung einer mangelfreien verpflichtet und dies auch nur dann, wenn der

Mangel der Montageanleitung einer ordnungsgemäßen Montage entgegensteht.

8)Unsere Gewährleistung erstreckt sich nur auf die von uns gelieferten Waren, nicht jedoch auf etwaige Folgekosten.

§ 7 Haftungsbeschränkungen1)Bei leicht fahrlässigen Pflichtverletzungen beschränkt sich unsere Haftung auf den nach der Art der Ware vorhersehbaren, vertragstypischen, unmittelbaren

Durchschnittsschaden. Dies gilt auch bei leicht fahrlässigen Pflichtverletzungen unserer gesetzlichen Vertreter oder Erfüllungsgehilfen. Bei leicht fahrlässiger

Verletzung unwesentlicher Vertragspflichten haften wir nicht.

2)Die vorstehenden Haftungsbeschränkungen betreffen nicht Ansprüche des Kunden aus Produkthaftung. Weiter gelten die Haftungsbeschränkungen nicht

bei uns zurechenbaren Körper- und Gesundheitsschäden oder bei Verlust des Lebens des Kunden.

3)Schadenersatzansprüche des Kunden wegen eines Mangels verjähren nach 1 Jahr ab Ablieferung der Ware. Dies gilt nicht, wenn uns Arglist vorwerfbar ist.

§ 8 Schlußbestimmungen1)Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland; die Geltung des UN-Kaufrechtes ist ausgeschlossen.

2)Ist der Kunde Kaufmann, ist ausschließlicher Gerichtsstand für alle Streitigkeiten aus diesem Ver trag unser Geschäftssitz. Dasselbe gilt, wenn der Kunde kei-

nen allgemeinen Gerichtsstand in Deutschland hat oder Wohnsitz oder gewöhnlichen Aufenhalt zum Zeitpunkt der Klageerhebung nicht bekannt sind.

3)Sofern sich aus der Auftragsbestätigung nichts anderes ergibt, ist unser Geschäftssitz Erfüllungsort.

4)Etwaige Unwirksamkeit einzelner Bestimmungen berührt die Wirksamkeit der übrigen nicht.
