To be at the designated classroom on time in accordance to your individual schedules.

Support teachers/students with daily activities.

Assist teachers where needed as indicated by the teacher.

◦ Supervision and Basic Cleaning; wipe table tops between groups, empty trash as needed, require students to pick up their area.

Duties

In addition to items listed in the employee handbook under “Men” and Women” the following is acceptable for Para-Pros and Aides;◦ Knee length shorts◦ Athletic Shoes

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS: Shoes with high heels and shoes that do not adhere to your feet.

Dress Code

Always be calm with parents no matter what the situation may be.

Smile to parents and students when greeting them.

Watch our body language and tone when speaking with students and parents.

Always maintain student confidentiality.

Employee Handbook

Be on time for each of your scheduled duties. Inform Mike (602-758-6016) when needing time

off. Mike will schedule for coverage. Use journal for tracking concerns, progress on

primary duties, meeting notes, changes in schedule, upcoming events

7:30-3:30 (staff meetings 1st Wednesday of month may go past 3:30)

Staff Kids Till 4:30pm Late Pickup to 4pm

Work Schedule

All of our students needs must not be discussed. Do not “gossip”. We are all subject to FERPA law.

Be cognizant of where/when you discuss concerns on campus. Refrain from using student/parent/teacher names. Only discuss what is needed to help student improve.

Confidentiality

Store personal items/phones in lockers during work hours.

Must use lock on lockers. Lockers will be labeled.

Please keep cell phone concealed…students should not see us using our phones during our scheduled duties.
