7.2 Members of Solar System
divide by formation and the elements in 4 region
1. Inner planets (ดาวเคริาะหช่!)นใน)2. Asteroid belt (แถบดาวเคริาะหนอย์) 3. Outer planets (ดาวเคริาะหช่!)นนอก)4. Oort’s cloud (ดาวหาง หริอ เมฆขอ
งออริต)
![Page 8: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
1. Inner planets (ดาวเคราะห์ชั้นใน) The terrestrial planetsBetween the Sun and Asteroid belt
Mercury, Venus, Earth ,MarsThe planets that are small and rocky, Metal Core.
![Page 9: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
2. asteroid belt (แถบดาวเคราะห์นอย)
Most asteroids lie between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
An asteroid is a small, rocky body whose diameter can range from a few hundred kilometers to less than a kilometer.
Example : Gaspra, Ceres, Pallas
![Page 10: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)

3. Outer planets (Giant planets, The Jovian planets)
The Giant planets, with huge gas , Hydrogen and Helium.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
![Page 12: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
4. Oort’s cloud
The Oort’s cloud are comets with long orbital periods appear to be distributed in all directions from the sun, forming a spherical shell around the solar system
![Page 13: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)

Meteoroid
A meteoroid is a small, solid particle that travels through space.
A meteor is the luminous phenomenon observed when a meteoroid enters Earth’s atmosphere and burns up, popularly called a shooting star
A meteorite(อกกาบาต) is any portion of a meteoroid that reaches Earth’s surface

Kuiper belt object (วตถในแถบคอยเปอร)
Like the asteroids in the inner solar system
Most Kuiper belt comets move in nearly circular orbits that lie roughly in the same plane as the planets
Example Objects : Pluto , Eris

7.3 The SunThe Sun is informally designated as a yellow dwarf, based on spectral class, is G2
surface temperature of approximately 5778 K (5505 °C)
It has a diameter of about 1,392,684 km(about 109 times that of Earth)
Its mass about 2×1030 kilograms (330,000 times that of Earth)
the sun is made of gas : Hydrogen and Helium
![Page 21: Lesson 7 solar system](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062703/555522b5b4c9058b2f8b56d2/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)

The Solar Interior : divide into 3 layer
1. Core (แกน) : A temperature of Core close to 15.7 million kelvin. Energy is produced by nuclear fusion.
