Our Dream….

PinoyC dreams of competent communities spreading throughout the country.

“PinoyC is the soil on which these communities (flowers) are planted. The soil and the flowers are nurtured and fortified by overcoming challenges encountered and learning the difficult lessons. LET A THOUSAND FLOWERS BLOOM!”

Pinoy Competence....

…is represented by individuals and groups who believe in the strengths of individuals and communities to stimulate, motivate, and support communities to address their own issues and concerns.

Respect community priorities.

CLCP has been applied to help communities respond to their own priority concerns. In North Cotabato, young people started with a SALT visit to contribute to peace & stability in their area. In Eastern Samar, a group of volunteers, used CLCP in managing a barangay school.

Less is more!

• “Less formal” means communities are less intimidated. CLCP was effectively transferred and applied in less formal ways - such as social media, conversations, games etc.

• “Less funds” encourage communities to be more creative!

Start small but dream big.

• PAMAC-Q started their RH advocacy by joining a local peer group. The group is now actively campaigning in 4 cities and is leading other local youth groups in promoting sexual and reproductive health rights.

• IDS Youth began engaging in peace-building with a simple community clean-up. Today, they have initiated dialogues between Muslims and Christians towards peace.
