Cleaned empty aluminum cans, water bottles, cardboard boxes (cereal, shoe, or Kleenex boxes are great), paper towel tubes, plastic plates, bowls and utensils, metal hardware like washers, nuts and bolts, bottle caps, zip ties and rubber bands can all be used to make simple instruments at home. Embellish them with duct tape, washi tape, stickers or add string, ribbons, pipe cleaners, buttons and beads for even more fun decoration. You may need a hole punch, masking or duct tape and scissors. Putting your instruments together will take creative thought and ingenuity. Be resourceful and use your imagination.
