Verb Conjugation

• A Russian verb has six forms in the present tense, one for each of the subject pronouns (1st, 2nd and 3rd persons, singular and plural). By looking at the ending of the verb we can tell the person and the number of the verb. This is called verb conjugation. The Present tense form consists of a verb stem

followed by an ending denoting person and number.  • Example : Я читаю (I read)

Verb “Учиться”-”To Study”-Examples

• Я учусь в частной школе. I go to a private school.

• Мы учимся в известном медицинском институте. –We study at the medical institute.

• Они студенты. Они учатся в политехническом колледже. –They are students. They study at a polytechnic college.

Asking “Who” and “Where” Questions.

• Work with your coach asking Who and Where questions to the sentences. Example:Катя учится в колледже. Она студентка.Где (where) учится Катя? Кто (who)она?
