Program

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (ICT) program offers a comprehensive set of courses to give the students a foundation to create the next generation electronic systems.

Building e.g. a next generation wireless system-on-chip, requires a multi-disciplinary approach. It needs an un-derstanding of the multimedia applications running on it, the telecommunication techniques applied to realize the wireless links and it needs the necessary design skills to realize the integrated system-on-chip.

The program assumes that the student has a basic knowledge in electrical engineering (e.g. basic transistors and logic design, digital signal processing, systems and control, etc.).

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (ICT) pro-gram gives the student an in depth training on many ICT related topics, which are organized in three main catego-ries: Integrated electronics (analog and digital design, computer architectures, and system-on-chip design). Multimedia and signal processing (advanced DSP, multimedia technology). Telecommunication (mobile & wireless communica-tions, coding, security and cryptography).

The master thesis project is made in close cooperation with the ongoing research in the Electrical Engineering Department. It exposes the student to the latest research topics in these fields.
