Welcome to the first Library Lovers News for 2015. Hopefully everyone has

had a lovely Christmas and New Years break and is now back into the

    swing of things.

2015 is gearing up to be an exciting year for the SDRC library service. The

library strategic plan is nearing its final stages and we are constantly striv-

ing to improve and expand services.

Just a few of the things happening in the next twelve months are Library

Lovers Day, Book Week, National Simultaneous Storytime and Library &

Information Week. There are also our regularly scheduled events and

activities such as Storytime, Baby Rhymetime, school holiday activities,

and author visits. Keep an eye out for some quirky fun displays for things

such as International Talk Like a Pirate Day, Dr Seuss birthday and the

    Mad Hatters tea party.

Our Facebook page is updated regularly with details of events being held,

and we also have a Pinterest page if you would like to have a look.

Sonnet 43 - How do I love thee?

    Let me count the ways

    by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.I love thee to the depth and breadth and heightMy soul can reach, when feeling out of sightFor the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of everyday'sMost quiet need, by sun and candle-light.I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.I love thee with the passion put to useIn my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.I love thee with a love I seemed to loseWith my lost saints,I love thee with the breath,Smiles, tears, of all my life!and, if God choose,I shall but love thee better after death.

Neuroscientists Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam

studied 15 000 Harlequin romance novels before

writing their book A billion wicked thoughts. They

report that the top ten professions are:

    Doctor Knight

    Cowboy Surgeon

    Boss King

    Prince Bodyguard

    Rancher Sheriff
