What did my friends and family say?• Helping/volunteering without the expectation of

getting anything in return.• It is a reminder to live selflessly despite our

natural desires to greedily hoard our time, money, energy, and emotional strength for ourselves.

• It’s about reaching out to others: our family, friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. To bring joy, peace, comfort, love and hope to their lives.

Smiling at Others, Opening doors…• Saying please and thank you,

showing grace and gratitude, offering support, being compassionate, offering hope, and most of all being POSITIVE!

If we think in terms of what others need and want then we can empathize with their situation and can make sure that we can see how we play a role in helping them realize their goals.

Small Kindnesses• Well, for me, it’s all about the small kindnesses –

the ones that we think we are too busy for in the middle of our hectic lives.

• It’s literally life’s purpose to give everyone and everything a ‘leg up’ whenever there is an opportunity.
