CHALLENGE: A well-known state college was ex-periencing a near 10% return rate from their postal mail campaigns to prospective students, as well as challenges in identifying duplicate household mem-bers. They needed a data hygiene solution to improve postal deliverability while linking and de-duplicating household members to reduce overall mailing costs.

SOLUTION: Infutor initiated their InRichment solu-tion, an advanced cleansing process, to overhaul the college’s CRM. InRichment performs a series of data hygiene processes – including name standardization, advanced address correction, National Change of Address (NCOA) and Proprietary Change of Address (PCOA) – and applies a household ID and individual persistent ID for linking and de-duplication.

RESULT: The college identified 15% household du-plicates, along with 5.5% address improvements through advanced address correction. They cut direct marketing costs by more than $20K per campaign, and saved an additional $5-6K in removal of duplicate household members, delivering a higher ROI.

Their match rates on dig-ital and social campaigns were decreasing, and the amount of returned postal mail was increasing. They needed to update postal, email, and phone informa-tion to restore omnichannel outreach efforts.

SOLUTION: The association used Infutor’s ID Max to process their alumni information and:

• Identify and update changed names, including maiden to married names

• Correct outdated postal address using our deter-ministic identity graph of 1.4 billion current and pre-vious addresses spanning 30+ years of history
