Pray for blankets - this is going to be a cold winter!

Jesaja 64:4: “Van ouds af tog het niemand dit gehoor of verneem nie, geen oog het

‘n God gesien wat werksaam is vir wie op Hom wag nie, behalwe U. U kom hom te-

gemoet wat met vreugde geregtigheid beoefen, hulle wat aan U dink op hulle wee.”

Dit is om in stilte te wag op die Here, net in Sy Teenwoordigheid te vertoef, dat ons

krag ontvang. Ons moet bid dat Hy alle stres en bekommernis wegneem sodat ons sy

Heerlikheid kan ondervind. So vloei ook genesing deur elke sel van ons liggame.

Dit word beweer dat die Alpha golwe van die brein vermeerder wanneer ons die Onse

Vader bid, of die Naam van Jesus noem! Miga 7:7: “Maar ek sal uitsien na die Here, ek

wil wag op die God van my heil, my God sal my hoor.” Soms is dit beter om sonder

woorde te bid, as met baie woorde en ‘n hart wat ver van God is.

Psalm 130:6: “My siel wag op die Here meer as wagters op die more ek hoop op Sy

Woord!”

Nuus uit die sendingveld.

Past Edward van Venda was baie siek. Die ou tentjie het geskeur in ‘n stormwind, en

twee van sy gemeentelede het gesterf toe hulle huisie se dak op hulle ingeval

het.Hulle het ons gebede en hulp baie nodig om aan te gaan in ‘n plek waar die Evan-

gelie nog in donker omstandighede verkondig word.

Past Petrus preek naby Lichtenburg in ‘n baie arm gemeenskap. Hy en sy vrou het self

‘n tentjie gekoop en kry maar min ondersteuning. ’n Tyd gelede het iemand ons ‘n

woonstel se meubels geskenk en ons was in staat om dit na hulle te stuur. Hulle het

baie min meubels gehad en was so bly vir die hangkas en ook die wasmasjien wat nog

gewerk het. Wanneer ons eendag voor die troon staan sal ons verbaas staan om te

sien wie kry die krone! Dalk hulle wie met stukkende skoene loop en die Woord ver-

kondig.

In Winterveld word 600 kinders nou elke dag kos gegee. Ons beplan ‘n “Komberse dag

“ in Mei wanneer ons vir die armes ‘n kombersie wil gee. U gebede en bydraes help

ons om te volhard! Duisend dankies.

Isaiah 64:4: “For from of old, man have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has

the eye seen a God besides You Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of

him who (earnestly) waits on Him. You meet and spare him who joyfully works

righteousness and justice.”

It is in entering the silence, practising His presence in stillness and quietness that we

experience His Glory and receive new strength. We must ask Him to remove all stress

and worry so that we can experience His presence. His healing will also flow through

each cell of our bodies.

It is said that the Alpha waves in our brain increase when we pray the Our Father or

repeat the wonderful name of Jesus. Mica 7:7: “I will wait with hope and expectancy

for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.” It is sometimes better to pray with-

out words than to pray with many words and an empty heart. We must meditate on

the Word.

Psalm 130:6: “I am looking and waiting for the LORD more than watchmen for the

morning.”

News from the mission field:

Pastor Edward in Venda was very sick and a storm wind ripped his tent. It also caused

a roof to fall in on two of his people (a mother and her daughter) and killed them.

They really need our prayers and help. It seems as if an attack of the enemy was re-

sponsible.

Pastor Petrus is preaching near Lichtenburg in a very poor area. He and his wife

bought a small tent for the outreaches. Some time ago we were donated some furni-

ture and were able to send it to them. They really needed furniture and were so glad

to get a wardrobe and a washing machine that was still working. Someday we may be

surprised at who will get the crowns... Maybe it is those who walk with broken shoes

and proclaim the gospel.

We are now feeding 600 children in Winterveld. Food and Mealie meal has become

more expensive. We are planning a “Blanket day” in May to give blankets to the poor

orphans. Thank you for your regular donations, it keeps us going!
