PHOTOMOD Lite Project Contest
Racurs company announces a contest of photogrammetric production projects among Russian and
international users of PHOTOMOD Lite. PHOTOMOD Lite is a free software package which has allfeatures of PHOTOMOD digital photogrammetric system. PHOTOMOD Lite allows exploring wide-
ranging possibilities of the PHOTOMOD system and performance of test projects with the users data.PHOTOMOD Lite is an excellent solution for realization of scientific and educational projects and can beused for training of engineers and students.
There are two nominations: Education with PHOTOMOD Liteand Users PHOTOMOD Lite test
projects.
Nomination: Education with PHOTOMOD Lite
Project description requirements
Any submitted project description should contain the following elements:1. An application for participation in the contest with indication of the project title, institute name andaddress, contact person name and e-mail.2. A project description in the electronic form including the following information:
number of trained students (specialties, number of academic hours etc); used or created courseware; number of term paper, coursework, PhD projects etc; input data description: camera/sensor type and parameters, scale of source images, ground control
data used for georeferencing, type and resolution of the scanner used for source aerial filmsdigitalization;
hardware profile: characteristics of computers and periphery equipment;project workflow description: processing steps, used software modules and important options,project time frame;
output results description: characteristics of DTM/DEM, orthomosaics, vector objects; scales,spatial resolution and accuracy, layer structure etc, further use of output results (final products,export to other systems etc.);
samples of the final results in a graphic form; education process description (sequencing of themes, used teaching method, feedback, results of
intelligence test).
Prizes
Main prize: PHOTOMOD full local license.Second prize: a free basic training course for one person.
Third prize: a voucher for 50% discount on a basic training course for one person.
Form and deadline of materials submission
Project descriptions must be submitted to Racurs before August 15, 2012. Materials may be sent by e-
mail [email protected] specify the subject of e-mail: project contest!
Note. Racurs can use the submi tted project mater ials for marketing and advertising purposes with
obli gatory reference to the project source company.
