God with us–EmmanuelWe need you to dwell in us
and dwell with us today.This Christmas is different;
there is hurt in our body and thereis hurting at your table
There is desperation in our nationThere is confusion in our world
There is a wonder of when all the pieces will fall on earth.
God with us–EmmanuelWe need you to dwell in us
and dwell with us today.A land hurting
A nation controllingA world accusing
The hope seems to be fading.
God with us–EmmanuelWe need you to dwell in us
and dwell with us today. You are more than able
You are the Promised MessiahYou are the Reigning King
You are the Prince of PeaceYou are the Anchor of Hope
You are the King of Kings, Emmanuel, the LORD who is still over all.
We bow before you.We anticipate you.
We adore you.
This liturgy is written to help us reorient in a season that is normally very full. The liturgy is written to acknowledge hardships and distractions and bring us to a place of declaring truth and hope. May this time of reorientation allow us to declare and believe who God is yesterday, today and tomorrow.

WORDS OF INSTITUTION
The Lord Jesus, the same night he was betrayed,
took bread; and when he had given thanks, he broke it
[The breaking of the bread.]
and gave it to them, saying,“Take, eat; this is my body which is
given for you:do this in remembrance of me.”
[Lifting the cup:]
After the same manner also, he took the cup
when they had supped, saying, “This cup is the new testament
in my blood:this do, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me.”
SHARING OF THE BREAD AND THE CUP
[As the bread is distributed:]
The bread which we break is the communion of the body of Christ.
[As the cup is distributed:]
The cup of blessing which we bless is the communion of the blood of Christ.
THE RESPONSE TO GOD
