Where I live…• A village in the Golden Valley

– Threat of closure in the past 5 years:-• School, Post Office & Pub

– Current Reviews:-• Delivered Library Services• Subsidised Bus Services• Community Transport

– Poor or no Broadband– No mobile phone signal

Where I live…Sometimes I think nobody loves me – but I don’t want to live anywhere else!

In May 2011 I became a Councillor because I can make a difference in the community in which I live

I can work with my community on many of our issues and address them from a local perspective

Question 1…

How do I convince my local Parish Councils that they are empowered to make change and deliver local services?

Is the bigger question – do communities need empowering to deliver local services?

Question 2…

Do Parish Councils want to work alone (Silos) or are local groups (Localities) the way forward?

Question 3…How do we define the goals and kick start the process confident that we will deliver Resilience and Sustainability
