What to do in the area

Lloret Beach: At more than one and a half kilometres long, this is the largest beach in the town after which it is named. It is located in the centre of Lloret.

Fenals Beach: is the second largest beach of Lloret de Mar at 700 metres long. It is located in a bay sheltered from the winds by a hill that separates it from the town centre and Lloret Beach.

Sa Caleta Cove is located next to Lloret Beach. It stretches below a castle that enjoys lovely views. Small boats are clustered along the shore. It is a fisherman’s cove with a 5% gradient and coarse sand.

Beaches; It’s inevitable that if you go to Lloret, you have to check out the beaches, Lloret has lots of choice, here are some of the most popular:

Waterworld! Open May - September, just catch the free bus from Lloret bus station, and also near the Caprabo supermarket in Fenals.

The park underwent a massive makeover in 2013 and now offers a total of 21 rides and attractions for everyone, from the Wave Pool and Relax Lagoon, through to X-Treme Mountain and Storm. Here are a few that you may

Wave Pool: Enjoy the waves in the bigger pool of Water World, 50 m long, you can play and ride the waves up to two metres high. A fun experience for all!

Relax Lagoon: Relax a bit in a quiet zone. You can stay on the beach formed by the shore, swim quietly under a soft cascade or relax in the parts with hydrotherapuutic bubbles.

Rafting River: The biggest aquatic attraction in Europe. You let the river take you in a round boat for four people 155 metres of the 215 metre of the journey are in the dark. - and without expecting it, you will suddenly turn 360º and you will get wet under the waterfalls.

X-Treme Mountain: An amazing water coaster over 260 feet long, more than 2 minutes of spine-chilling ups and downs within a boat for 2 people.

Storm: a new concept in water attractions and unique in Europe! Two huge funnels more than 4 metres in diameter. Expect to travel more than 80 metres in a tube at a high velocity and literally feeling that you are being sucked into a vortex of a whirlpool.

Marineland Open May-September. is one of the areas most popular attractions. This family water park with slides and kids' splash pools, also has shows featuring dolphins and exotic birds.and is an excellent day out for all the family. Situated in Palafolls just a few kms from Lloret de Mar,

Marineland have their own free bus service picking up at Lloret bus station and also a couple of other stops en route. The park is open from mid-May until the third week of September.

In addition to the rides Marineland offers three main exhibitions, Exotic Birds, Dolphins and Sea Lions.

There are many rides, like Boomerang where the most daring people will have fun on a float in a huge 15-metre-high half pipe. A vertiginous drop that can be done alone or with someone else, to share the experience of adrenalin! Speedboat where you will enjoy the feeling of speed and adrenalin on a float. This incredible ride has two 16-metre-high parallel slides, totally recommendable for lovers of speed. The favourite ride of the most daring people.Plus Blackhole a dark, 12-metre-long tube-shaped slide where the speed will keep the most adventurous people turning until they reach the water. Marineland Catalonia also provides floats for a vertiginous slide down.

Rides designed to be entirely safe, as well as a wonderful lifeguard team that keeps an eye on the smallest children’s every movement.Shopping

What does every traveller like doing during the vacation? Of course, it is relaxing near a pool or a beach; trying local cuisine and exotic meals; looking at the city attractions. But what else travellers can do? Yes, shopping!

There are a multitude of shops and markets to choose from in Lloret de Mar. The main shopping enclaves, from malls to small kiosks, are centred in the streets behind the waterfront. Wares tend to be touristy items, from souvenirs to bathing suits and prices are generally reasonable. In general visitors can shop happily from around 9am until late at night any day of the week during the busy summer season.

The traditional local market is held every Tuesday on the Carrer dels Mestres, and there is a municipal market every weekday in the Carrer Senia del Rabic and Carrer Verge de Loreto.
