Maine Eco-Lodge-YGuided by the need for durable, off-grid accommodations, Maine Eco-Lodge-Y provides a living system constructed within a steel truss, which can be placed on site by use of a Sikorsky Skycrane. Individual rooms offer privacy and warmth, while a common room provides expansive views of valleys and landscapes.

The lodge is ideally designed for sites of moderate grade which allow the cabin to emerge from the terrain, providing cinematic views of valleys and landscapes.

Carr’s Hill Arts CommonsCarr’s Hill Arts Commons embeds itself into Carr’s Hill and restores the sensation of hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Outdoor spaces become enveloped in corridors, which open into indoor theater space, classrooms, outdoor, sheltered Mezzanines, and open-air ground floors. Parametric modeling allowed for faster analysis of ratios and form based on site topography and solar incidence. Proscenium Theaters provided inspiration and tied the deconstructionist final result to the tradition of the Grounds of the University of Virginia.

AnzhEnvisionThe objective of Beijing Studio was to collaborate with students from Peking University, identify a potential site for redevelopment, and produce a strategy for increasing population density, while adhering to government regulations and acknowledging the constraints of Beijing’s urban fabric.
Our approach responded to the present composition of the surrounding community and the aspirations of the growing class of young urban professionals. The result was the design of a new community hub.
