Required criteria for solution:• Enable workforce to resolve to 1m track location• Create consistent & validated inspection data• Ensure output is machine-readable• Provide easy-to-use solution/tool for the above

• To define where we are on the track – need a coding system

( Legacy system specified by London Underground)• N124 = unique area code• N = northern line• EB = eastbound track• LO = local track• 101 = 101 metres along track in direction from start of an area
