Professor in Neurosur-gery at Govt.Medical Colleges for 6 years, as consult-ant Neurosurgeon at Ananthapuri Hospital, Trivandrum for 5 years and has been the Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon & Director of Spine Surgery at Indo American Hospital since 2010.

Dr. Jain George graduated from Government Medical College Trichur in the year 1991 and Masters in General Surgery (MS) from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He completed Masters in Neurosurgery (MCh) from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technolo-gy (SCTIMST), Trivandrum. He had training in Neuro trauma from NIMHANS, Bangalore and advanced hands on clinical training from US. Dr. Jain George has worked in USA, Malaysia and Middle East before joining Indo American Hospital. His areas of interest include removing brain tumors with no compli-cations adopting the most minimally invasive and keyhole concepts, Cerebrovascular Surgery (Aneurysm and AVM), Paediatric Neurosurgery, Spinal Tumors, Microdiscectomy and Endoscopic Neurosurgery.

Dr. K. Bahuleyan was the first Neurosurgeon of the State of Kerala. He started as Asst.Professor of Neurological Surgery at Govt Medical College,Trivandrum. He joined the Indian Defence Forces as its first Neurosurgeon in the year 1964.He later moved to US and worked as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Asst.Professor of Neurosurgery till 1996. He started Indo Ameri-can Hospital and has been working as Senior Consultant Neuro-surgeon & Professor Emeritus since then.

In 2010, the hospital was recognised by the National Board to train medical graduates for post graduate qualification in neurosurgery. Every year candidates with a basic MBBS degree is selected by the National Board and allotted to the hospital for a 6 year rigorous residential program consisting of practical, theory, research and examination at the end of which they are awarded the post graduate Dip. NB qualifica-tion in neurosurgery by the National Board.

With a conscious effort aimed at propa-gating physiotherapy and to ensure the presence of skilled and professional physiotherapists, BCF College of Physio-therapy was opened in the year 2009 offering the 4 year bachelors degree in Physiotherapy awarded by Kerala State Medical University.

To create an unmatched culture of excel-lence in the treatment of Neuro patients, BCF started the 4 year bachelors degree course in nursing in the year 2008. Each year 60 nursing students pass out of this college who would have gained specialised training in neuro care and treatment in theatre duties and ICU.
