AONTÚ PUBLIC MEETINGAontú is a new political party founded by T.D. Peadar Tóibín who was effectively forced to resign from his party due to his Pro-Life views. The new party Aontú “meaning Union or Togetherness” is in response to the substantialamount of people who feel disenfranchised from Local and National politics as their voices and concerns are being ignored by those who were supposed to represent them. Even though we are running on a tight schedule we have a very positive outlook and intend to field a Candidate at the next local Council Elections in May. Our next meeting will be on the 9th of March at 8:30pm in Óstan Loch Altan, Gortahork. If you would like to make a change in the current government, or have any suggestions in regard to local matters the committee would be very interested to hear from you.
