HI FOLKS!

We’d like to welcome you warmly on behalf of the whole Local Committee Łódź! It is great that you are going to join us for such an important event as Global Village.

It is not only the biggest event we organize this year, but also a great way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of LC Łódź!

Let’s go through the booklet and get ready to make it huge together!

Your Organizing Team

Łódź is the third largest city in Poland,

located in the centre of the country.

Once an impressive textile industry empire and a city of four cultures (Polish, Jewish, German and Russian), Łódź is currently a major academic and business centre.

The unique character of the city is created by a combination of its post-industrial heritage and a recent focus on modern technologies and creative industries.

Numerous entertainment venues, including many bars, clubs and concert halls make Łódź an ideal destination for young people – now you have a chance to come and explore it with us!

Section 4 – Face & Body Painting Activities: Painting flags/symbols on children’s faces or hands.

Section 6 – Quizzes Activities: Presenting some basic pieces of information about your country and/or culture, running quizzes.

Section 5 – Languages Activities: Teaching children your native language, playing language games with children.

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOPS – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Each section is going to have 4-6 members from different countries and an interpreter from Poland (to make communication with children easier). There will be stands prepared for each section. The agenda for each section is going to be prepared but your ideas are also welcome! The OC Team is going to support all the sections throughout the event. There is going to be a coffee break for you to rest a little during the event.
