Mowing season is upon us and this is your NOTICE that maintenance

and/or landscape crew is NOT responsible for picking up any items/toys

that are left in the yard when they mow. Please keep all toys (when not in

use) on your back porch and not on the grass along the walls. Porches

should be free of clutter and any indoor items/furniture at all times. Every-

one should stage your trash can at the rear of the unit until the day of pick

With all of the rain and warmer weather, you may find that ants are becoming a problem. Here are a few DIY ways to get rid of ants naturally: Ingredients: 1 cup warm water 1/2 cup of sugar or powdered sugar 2 TBSP of Borax Cotton balls Mix all of your ingredients together and then soak the cotton balls in the concoction. Place the cotton balls anywhere you see the ants may be coming in or trailing. The next morning you should wake up to dead ants! Vinegar - Ants hate vinegar, so this one’s real easy. Make a mixture of half vinegar and half water in a

spray bottle. Simply spray all areas where the ants may be coming in from. You can also spray it directly on

the ants to kill them if they are already inside.

Chalk - A regular piece of sidewalk chalk can save your home from an ant invasion. You just need to draw

a thick line with the chalk outside the door or wherever they are coming in from and the ants won’t cross

that line.

Cinnamon - Use cinnamon just as you would the chalk. Create a line of it around the outside of your house

as well as any spots inside to keep them from coming in. Your house will smell nice too.

Lemon Juice - A simple solution of half lemon juice and half water can be sprayed around the inside of

your home to keep the ants out. This will deter Asian lady beetles as well when sprayed around entry ways

of your home.

Essential Oils - These aromatic oils may smell nice to us, but ants don’t feel the same way. Make a mixture

of 10 drops in one cup of water and spray in the affected areas. You can use lemon oil, lavender oil, pepper-

mint oil, cedar oil, and eucalyptus oil. *Eucalyptus oil is highly toxic to cats, so do not use it if you have a

cat in your home.

How to Get Rid of Ants
