Desjardins has 20-plus years of coaching experience. He served as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks for three seasons (from 2014-17). He alsoserved as associate head coach with the Dallas Stars for two seasons (2010-12). He was the head coach for Team Canada at the 2018 WinterOlympics. In his first season with the Canucks, they posted a 48-29-5 record and qualified for the playoffs (101 points; second place in the PacificDivision). In three seasons with Vancouver, Desjardins compiled a 109-110-27 record overall.
