Lotus Notes to Exchange 2007 Migration Installing Mailbox, CAS and Hub Transport Server Roles Pre‐requisites for the Mailbox, CAS and Hub Roles 1) Raising the Domain functional level to Windows 2000 Native mode
2) Install IIS, .Net Frame Work 2.0 from Add/Remove Programs Note: Do not install SMTP and NNTP components
3) Install RPC over HTTP for the Outlook Anywhere form Add/Remove Programs 4) Install PowerShell 1.0, MMC 3.0 5) Install Exchange 2007 – Mailbox, CAS and Hub Transport
6) Click on Install to install the selected components 7) Install Lotus Notes client and configure by providing the Domino Server name, IP Addresses 8) Copy the User id – Which should have read access to all the mailboxes to the Exchange Server 9) Install the Microsoft Transporter for Lotus by accepting the default settings 10) Create a connector and modify the Notes Server names accordingly
Note: Before migrating the Mailboxes, set the rights for the Administrator by running the below command in the PowerShell
Add‐ADPermission ‐Identity (get‐exchangeserver).DistinguishedName ‐User (Get‐User ‐Identity Administrator| select‐object).identity ‐extendedRight ms‐Exch‐EPI‐Impersonation
Installing Edge Transport Server Role Pre‐requisites for Edge Transport Server Role 1) Install .Net Framework 2.0 2) Install Powershell 1.0, MMC 3.0 3) Install ADAM by accepting the default settings
5) After the installation completes, create a new Edge subscription on the Edge Server and export to xml file
7) Create a new Subscription on the Hub Transport Server and import the subscription file (Already exported xml file from the Edge Server) to the Hub Transport server
8) Start the Edge synchronization on the Hub Transport Server to replicate the configuration settings to the Edge Server such as Accepted Domains, Send Connectors, Receive Connectors, etc
